My first visit with Dr. Robert Brody was on February 18th where he obtained my medical history, completed various testings and exams to try to diagnose my disorder. On that visit he did not disclose the results of those tests. He did give me labwork to be completed to better understand my condition. On that day, I paid $291. My second visit was on March 26th where I completed my breath test to help indicate what specific gut condition I have. I was diagnosed with **** and was given options regarding my treatment, one of which was a specific type of antibiotics that are often very difficult to obtain insurance authorization for- ********* ***** (used three times a day for three weeks). I was informed that if the health insurance authorization does not go through, I would be getting a phone call back to go ahead with a different treatment plan that would involve herbal antimicrobials. I consented to this agreement and was given an estimate of about two weeks of hearing back from the office regarding the authorization (given by the front desk employee). I paid $285 on this visit. It has now been 8 weeks, my health symptoms have greatly increased , I have called the office multiple times with no answer, left two voicemails expressing my concern regarding my treatment plan, pleading to try a different treatment if the authorization is not at all possible, and I have not heard back since. I have directly contacted the doctor on the portal specific to the office on May 11th, and have not heard back from him either. So after $576 I have not received the treatment that I was promised, even after pleading to try a medication that I could myself buy instead of have to have authorized.Business response

I apologize for the enormous delays in getting back to you. The practice has been under an incredibly heavy call and message volume, and I'm sorry to say that we must've missed your messages.
I've followed up with the prescribing doctor, and they've filed the preauthorization but are still waiting to hear back. As such, I will have an alternative list of supplements that you can take instead of the prescription by the end of this week (June 7th, 2022).
As a token of our apology, if you would like to try the supplements once Dr. Brody has the treatment plan ready, we would be happy to waive the cost.
