We chose a home generator from ACDC in ******. We gave them a $6000 deposit on 6/24/2021. We were told they were scheduling some 14 months out. The following summer we called to check on the installation date. We were told that we were in 'batch 39'. They would call us when it got closer. By fall we stopped by their place in ****** and was told that orders had be delayed because of COVID. A later visit we were told there were shipping delays. In the months that followed we were told that we had to speak with Mr. DXXX CXXXXX and was patched through to his answering machine. He never bothered to call us back. By now over two years had passed. Several more visits and calls reached the same results, excuses; order delays, moving to a new location, not enough technicians, ... Meanwhile no one returned our messages. By January 2024 my patience had worn thin. I called and demanded our money back. Again I was patched through to Mr. C******** answering machine. I left the same demand. Several more times when we called we were told; he doesn't come back to the office until the afternoon; he is out on an emergency; he is out shoveling snow. Aways an excuse, never a call back. Finally we received an email from Mr. CXXXXXX stating that our order will come soon but to cancel we had to fill out a form. Immediately, I requested the form. Then the form did not get mailed until I emailed him again stating that we did not receive his cancelation form. Although he stated that it was mailed much earlier the post mark on the envelope was January 24th. Upon receiving the form we filled it out and sent it back by registered mail on January 26th. It is now February 12th and he has not signed for it. This proving that the form is just another delaying tactic. My wife and I are close to 80 years old. We were raised in a age where a simple handshake was binding. We don't need additional stress in our life. We just want our full deposit back so we can move on.

I purchased a ******* generator in August 10 2021. I gave a $5500 deposit. My sales receipt states an 18 to 20 wk backlog however during phone calls because of Covid that was supposedly delayed. After calling several times I decided to send an email on September 30 of 22. They said I was in batch 41 and had received generators for batch 17 and 18 with 3 to 4 coming in every month. On January 13 23 I was told they changed my batch number to 24. Generators as of January’s had started to come in, and, all of a sudden they were doing batches eight and nine instead of 17 and 18. They told me they would extend my warranty from seven years to 10 years. In May 23 they said they were doing batches 11 through 14. May 15 23 still getting nowhere I told them that if I did not get my generator in a week that I wanted a full refund of my $5500. My email stated that I had been waiting for almost 2 years and ask them to please resolve the issue. June 5 23 I sent an email saying that I wanted a full refund by the end of the week which was June 9 2023. I was told that I needed to fill out a cancellation form saying that I was canceling my order in order if I was receive my refund. By June 9, 2023 being very frustrated with the phone calls and excuses. I was being told they were waiting to get switches, etc that if I wanted to refund I would have to wait until they contacted the company to get my deposit back so they could put it in their budget and then once it was in their budget they could give me a refund. I emailed and sent a signed certified letter on June 27 stating that I expected my refund by the end of the month that I would take further steps/action, and again was more than willing to come to their office to personally pick up the refund money. I feel they were trying to hold me off by saying I was threatening them by taking further action, I send an email back saying it wasn’t a threat that I was trying to protect myself so I’d get my deposit back. ***** ****** *** ********* **** ****** ***** ** *****Please note we were in communication with her and explained that it could take up to 30 days from the receipt of the cancelation notice to refund.   Please note we have been short staffed in the office so I do have to sit at several desk every day. She was never being ignored she just simply did not hear what she wanted to hear  that is all . Please keep in mind that this backlog was due to Covid and ******* being shutdown for over 11 months.

I consider this resolved and this complaint should be closed. I have attached scanned copy of the check issued.
