I purchased a Silver Ducts professional carpet cleaning voucher for two rooms for $16 from *******. I contacted Silver Ducts and scheduled an appointment for 6/12/23 between 11:00am - 1:00pm. The tech, ****, came out on 6/12/23, to clean my carpet. I gave him a check for $340 which included an extra charge for deep cleaning/stain and spot treatment. (I gave him a check because the only other form of payment they accepted (*****?), I didn't have. How does a business only accept two forms of payment?) After **** was done, he asked that I provide him with a very good review or he wouldn't get his "bonus." I felt somewhat pressured. (Comments have been left about this practice by another customer on *******.)I questioned **** about the area he had deep cleaned (just plain old dirt, no stains from wine, condiments, pets, or anything), and he said that it would look better when the area was dry. The carpet was damp. Well, it didn't. It looked exactly the same. I called the company and spoke with a man who asked me to email him pictures of my carpet which I did. He said he would send someone out to inspect the work that had been done. I received an email stating that someone would come out on 7/1/23 between 4:00-6:00pm, which I confirmed. I got another email on 7/1/23, that the tech was running 30 minutes late. But no one showed up or called.I sent a follow up email to Silver Ducts; no response. I've called both numbers many times but someone just hangs up on me. (The invoice provided by **** says ********************** and the number listed is **************. I've also called Silver Ducts on ************ which was listed on the ******* voucher.) ******* Customer Svc. has not been very helpful.Although I felt that I was overcharged for the carpet cleaning done in my condo (not a big area), I wasn't asking for a refund at first. I just wanted someone to actually do the work (deep cleaning) I had paid extra for. Now, I just want all or part of my $340 back.
