I had hired Pro-Tec in fall of 2023 when I noticed a "mouse" hole next to the house. They charged me for a contract then charged me on a monthly basis to come out; @$400. When they first came out they told me it was not mice - it was voles. The manager I spoke with was ***** ****** and the tech was *****. Over the next several months I called them several times advising the problem was getting worse and was assured it was improving. I had knee surgery in February and couldn't walk around the yard until March, when I saw my yard and foundation looked like swiss cheese. I called again and got the same brush off. I called another company who identified a major mouse infestation (no voles). I called ***** who tried to make me feel bad about complaining and told me if he had to "write up ***** one more time he would probably get fired". This is the email I sent ***** with photos on 3-20-2024, he did not respond and refuses to take my calls. I ended up paying another company to fix the mouse infestation that was cultivated by Pro-Tec and I want a refund. Hi *****, Here are the photos we discussed. Tried to get a photo of one popping their head out but wasn't fast enough. The photos don't do justice but here you go. Essentially I bought a mice & rat infestation because the original (few small holes) problem was misdiagnosed as voles. This does not happen overnight. This went on unbridled for months while I paid for (more) pellets that clearly weren't working. Hard to believe the progression wasn't noticed. Particularly since I pointed it out. I had recent knee surgery so haven't been too mobile. But when I went outside & saw allll of that ??...and he was just here!!! Like I said please cancel the service contract and get your boxes, I would also like at least a partial refund which I feel is reasonable as I literally bought an infestation. Come anytime but please grab those boxes (full of new pellets ??) prior to Friday morning. Thank you kindly and have a nice night.Initial Complaint

In 2019, I entered into a contract with Pro-Tec pest to spray outside of my house. Part of this agreement was that Pro-Tec would call before they were coming. We keep our backyard secure with a locked gate as we have a pool. Pro-Tec agreed and I signed their service contract, paying 225 dollars that day and agreeing to #85 dollars maintenance service 6 times per year. (Not including taxes) This service contract included my address at 76 Kirk Rd and my cell phone number. The bottom portion of the contract states: Pro-Tec Pest service agrees to furnish the service indicated heron for cash paid upon completion of initial work. All invoices are due and payable by the 15th of each month. Late charges are applied to all past due invoices. On September 12th 2022, my sister in law stated that I had a letter addressed to me at her home on Concord Rd. This letter was from Smith, Cohen, and Rosenberg. The letter was dated at the top August 31, 2022. It listed my last name as Patano (not my last name) and my address incorrectly as 22 Concord Rd. The letter was received by my sister in law 12 days after the date of August 31rst. The letter from Smith Cohen and Rosenberg stated I owed $345.98 to Po-Tec Pest. I called Pro-Tec Pest, on 9/12/22- I explained that we were paid in full and had no outstanding balance. In fact, we cancelled their service on 5/27/2021 and sent them check number ...f0r $90. There was NO outstanding balance of $345.00 otherwise it would have been included on that bill. Furthermore, on 7/2/2019, 11/6/2019, 3/11/ 2020, 8/10/202, and 5/27/2021-Pro-Tec showed up without calling, DID NOT PERFORM ANY SERVICE, and billed us $90.10. Thus we cancelled their services. When I spoke to the owner on 9/12/2022 he told me that he had to get rid of everyone because of mistakes made, including who did the billing. The owner stated he hired an LLC (who is now not responding to me) to settle all of the disputes and there is nothing he can do.
