Earlier this year i had purchased a performance/forged built motor from Miami engines. I was expecting a smooth problem free product and all i got was the opposite. Upon receiving the motor i encountered many problems one after another. First the rear main seal was leaking i had to repay shop to drop transmission to fix Miami engines careless effort on putting my engine together. when i reached out to them they insisted i take my motor out and ship it back to them instead of helping covering cost on the repair. Repair costed about $1200 with labor and parts, then insisted on removing the engine back out the car and shipping it back down from ******** to Miami, ** this would have cost about $3,000 - $4,000 to take the engine back out not including the money that was spent putting engine in or shipping the motor down to them. Next issue i encountered was a broken actuator on the back on the valve cover they provided me. i reached out and they had told me the same thing, remove motor and ship back to them. i fixed all issues on my own out my pocket. NEXT issue I had encountered was a bent intake camshaft at this point i had no choice but to send the car down to ******* they insisted i cover shipping and labor. After a bunch of back and forth they covered half the tow for the car. I then had to fly down to miami to drive my car back up from ******* to NY they refused to pay for car to be shipped back on there behalf. All these issues happened back to back within a 1 month time frame of getting the motor car was not driven. I decided i was not going to trust there word and had another engine builder look at motor and redo it where i discovered i was lied to about part that i was billed for a was put in my motor. i have clear documentation of parts, and procedures i was billed for that was supposed to be put in my motor that was not put in. i covered all labor and parts for the products failures. reach out to me for all supporting evidence.Business response

customer placed the order on 12/12/2022 for the rebuilt engine. Engine was completed and shipped on 02/21/2023 to customer in ********. Customer installed engine and a few weeks later called us saying he was having problems, we tried to help him resolve the issues over the phone but we were unable to. We recommended he send the car to us so we can diagnose the issue, customer agreed and had the car transported to us. Vehicle arrived late in the day on 3/31/23, we started working on it on 04/07/23. During our diagnosis we found that the reluctor wheel and cam shaft had been damaged in the cylinder head. This is something that would not happen during normal operation. We did find the car had aftermarket modifications as well as an aftermarket tune. We performed the repairs at no charge to the customer as a goodwill gesture and advised the customer any failures to the engine caused by the aftermarket modifications or track use would not be covered. We also changes the oil at that time and replaced an injector as requested by customer. When he picked up the car, he made a partial payment and promised he would send us the balance once he arrived back home. We tried a few times to get in touch with him in regard to the balance but he never answered. He reached back to us on 09/07/2023 to inquire about a repair, we provided an estimate but never heard back from him. We are not aware of any other issues he may be having with the engine. We provided the engine build he requested, took care of an issue that was not caused by Miami Engines and supplied an estimate of requested repairs. We do not understand why he would not reach out to us with any issues, as we do provide a warranty on the engine parts we replaced. Also, as you will see on the invoice, he agreed to our terms and conditions on the invoice when he made the initial payment on the invoice. We always stand behind all of our repairs and will do everything necessary to make sure our customer are happy with all our services.
