Placed order in Jan 2024. Still have not got my screen installed, there are constant delays. Sounds like they are going bankcurpt and not wanting to refund customers. It was lot of money, I placed 50% deposite prior to install using my bank account. I need my refund please.Initial Complaint

I signed a contract with OG Luving for a hurricane screen in April, 2024. I made a deposit of ~$6800 with the owners guarantee that the screen would be installed by June 30, 2024. As of today, the permit application with Charlotte County remains on hold pending further information from OG Living. I have attempted multiple times to contact them via email, phone, text and scheduling meetings through their appointment app. I have also requested a full refund with no responses.Customer response

Contracted OG Living to furnish and install MagnaTrack motorized hurricane and insect screens in February 2023 in the amount of $22,321.58. 50% deposit paid; job was expected to be completed November 2023. The company's inability to fulfill the order resulted in client canceling. We have been trying to get a refund since February 2024. They have been unresponsive, I have sent emails, mail and left numerous voicemails. On March 6th I received an email saying refund would take 14 business days, it's now July 24th. Agreement with OG Living LLC on March 23, 2023 Deposit made of $6,025.91 (50%)Business committed to install motorized hurricane screen system 27ft x10ft with in 6 months First attempt to installed was 8 months , installation in not done until today June 8, 2024 do to damage parts , scratched, dents, wrong hardware. Contacted OG Living more than 30 times since November 30, 2023 via phone , text including owner, only words we will fix in you will be happy but job still not finish, came several times to look it and ever replaced some parts but is still not operating at this time.Business response

Our customer service representative reached out to ******************** for a scheduled service ticket to be completed today (the day of this posting) and was told that the customer would not be available for services to be rendered. Therefore, the service technician was told to turn around and we would work to reschedule the service at a later date. To now post to both ****** Review and BBB about these issues places OG Living in a bad light, however, in good faith, we've tried to work with this customer to resolve any issue they may have.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: Og Living call me at 2:20 let me know that manufacture tech (not Og living tech) will be at my home in 30 minutes. I told them that Im at work right now and won't be home until 4:30.I talk to manufacture tech explain this situation and problems with product and that i dont have remote to operate screen so Hi won't be able to inspect operation, we set appointment for this Wednesday June 12 at 4:00pm.

On May 15, 2023, I entered into an agreement with OG Living to purchase and install 3 hurricane screens for the back/pool lanai for $21,587.39. A down payment of $10,793.70 was made. The estimated installation timeline was 4-6 months. On September 17, 2023, I agreed to an additional order for 1 screen for the front entrance for $5,293.24, making a total down payment of $2,646.62 for this add-on. OG Living has received a total of $13,440.32 in down payments from me.OG Living stated they expected to complete the installation within the expected 6-month timeframe. However, delays ensued, and the installation date was repeatedly pushed back. Initially, the installation was tentatively scheduled for the week of November 15, 2023, but was subsequently delayed to December 17, 2023, January 2, 2024, and beyond, citing issues with production and staffing shortages.The nature of the dispute revolves around OG Living's failure to provide a clear and achievable installation timeline, despite multiple reassurances and revised schedules. Communication has been inconsistent, and the promised installation dates have been missed without adequate explanation or proactive updates. The situation has resulted in significant frustration due to the lack of transparency and failure to meet commitments.OG Living has made minimal efforts to resolve the issue, just email correspondences. On several occasions, I have requested updates on the number of installations ahead of mine, which were provided sporadically, showing a slow progression through their queue. As of the the end of May 223, OG Living has not committed to any specific installation timeframe nor how many are in queue ahead of me.Despite multiple follow-*** and expressing my concerns, the situation remains unresolved, with no clear indication of when the installation will be completed. I would like a firm installation commitment to install by July 20, or a refund of my $13,440.32 and to cancel the agreement.Business response

I am rejecting this response because the response on June 17 to BBB from OG Living is "we have been in contact with this customer to let them know the latest information we have for their install.". However, the only response that OG Living provided since the June 2nd BBB complaint is:(a) An email on June 6th stating that there are *********************** and they were averaging 3 a week (yet on April 22nd they had told me 25 were ahead of me). Hard to believe anything because they still aren't providing an installation timeframe (just assuming that I will calculate the math on my own and make my own assumption).
(b) A voicemail from OG Living on June 25th, asking me to call them, which I will do on June 26th but I have asked them via email if there's any better info they can provide.
So, the OG Living Response to BBB on June 17th doesn't address my complaint yet.

We hired OG Living to install our hurricane screens. They told us to apply for a ***** Fargo financing card and we did. They then kept changing the installation date stating they were backed up. They charged our account in September/ October 2023, before the installation. I complained to the owner *********************** as to why they charged our account before they started the installation. He just said to please give them time and they are backed up. They started the installation in November, after we had two make a first credit card payment. They never installed the screens properly and said that the screens had defects from the manufacturer and they would order new screens. After many calls, emails, they came back in February to try to fix, but they made it even worse. The manager ***** said he would call the manufacturer and come back and fix it. Our screens do not work, no one came back to fix the issue and we are now in May. I have emailed this company, called them- it always goes to voicemail and left numerous messages. I have called the owner **** on his cell and texted him- no response for months. He ripped us off, charged our card before he installed, never finished the installation and now disappeared. His company is non responsive. The people who used to work there are all gone and we cannot reach anyone. They are scammers and fraudsters. We want our money back and for them to come and remove their junk they left inoperable.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:The company has avoided my emails, calls and now they claim someone will contact me. I have been trying to communicate with the company who does not answer calls or return voicemails, left messages on the owner's cell including text messages that he never responds to, I have emailed and received no response.
They illegally charged our card without any authorization and before they even started installing. They committed bank fraud. They left us with defective and inoperable screens and have been avoiding our calls, texts and emails and all they can say is that someone will contact us. This is unacceptable. No one has contacted us and we want our money back. They took more than $28,000 and ran off. I am not the only customer who complained, just look at their other reviews and complaints.
Please see attached 3 emails without a response in April. Also, attached is a text message to the owner confirming he charged our card before installation. We had to pay our first installment before installation was even started. I have also left nu,erous messages on the company's voicemail and his cell phone. This company never answers the call, whether you call in the morning or afternoon, during normal business hours.

My husband and I paid this company 1/2 the amount owed for a magnatrack lanai hurricane motorized screen March 24, 2023. They said the screen would be installed by the end of May 2023. I keep calling and if I get to talk to anyone, they dont know whats going on. I either want the screen installed or my payment returned.Business response
