On September 7, 2023: He claimed there was an issue with the county plat maps and we advised him that it needs to be surveyed and wants us to pay for the survey otherwise he is not paying for the lot.
On September 27, 2023: We offered Michael a $500 credit off his loan amount so he can order a survey for it or a full refund.
Michael was still frustrated and we tried to work with him and he asked to wipe the first 2 payments and we have a deal. He's still not happy about it, but he likes the land and has already started work on it.
Michael's first payment was supposed to be on September 25th, 2023 and we agreed to skip it for 2 months. So September and October payments were skipped. Per agreement, Michael's payment then should have been made on November 25th, but then again, no payment was made.
Purchase was canceled on December 22, 2023. We informed Michael that the contract states that the refund is only applicable within the first 30 days of purchase. And he can use the credit for future purchase.
We stopped communication with him, because he became aggressive and cursing on his messages.
On August 20, 2024 (nearly a year after his initial purchase), Michael tried to get his $400 down payment refunded. Keep in mind, Michael never paid any additional payments other than his $400 down payment on August 25, 2023.
After discussing his situation among our team, Ben agreed to refund his $400 down payment he made nearly a year ago, which our policy on our website and contracts state only 30 days. We showed him grace and on August 21, 2024, Ben sent him the $400 refund via cashapp, which is the total amount Michael ever paid our company.
On August 22, 2024: Michael left a negative review on google and BBB and is trying to slander our company's reputation and still aggressive and rude when communicating. We forgive him and hope he can find peace.
