We purchased a vehicle from this dealership and paid for 2 years of registration. We were even given the sticker that expired in 2 years to place on the plate. Upon going to renew the registration we came to find out that it had been expired. Per tax office the dealership when back and adjusted things and changed it to one year and kept the money we gave them for two years. Ive been since December/January trying to get this resolved. Ive been in contact with the sales manager *********************** which has been an absolute joke. He never calls back. He never does what he says hes going to do. And he now avoids my calls. He has repeatedly lied to me over and over. I was told the check would be cut and mailed to me. Shocker that it never was. I was last told by him that he was going to see if I can just come pick up a check but he had to call me back. No call back, shocker again. And now when calling hes conveniently not at his desk or super busy and all they do is take my information to pass to him. And he never calls back. I am submitting a complaint to the ************************* as well. This dealership has stolen my money and keeps giving me the run around about paying it back. They are crooks.Business response

The store received notification that there was an issue with the customer's DMV work from two years prior. We spoke with the customer, and we agreed that a refund of $100.00 would be processed for their DMV work. A refund check was processed on 3/8/2024 for the customer and the check copy has been attached for this claim.Initial Complaint

There is no return policy or cooling off period on a new vehicle purchase. The customer purchased our vehicle then went to another **** dealer and purchased another one two days later. The salesperson at the other dealership dropped off his first purchase at our dealership, we rejected it. The customer then came in to return it, the deal had already funded with ****, however I provided goodwill to the customer by allowing the return and having his funded deal reversed with **** due to a possible miscommunication regarding EV range. Note, there is no issue with the Battery and the customer is misstating the facts here.Customer response

AutoNation Ford Bradenton ****************************************************** ************ Having a horrible experience with "AutoNation Ford Bradenton", a 2018 **** F-150 got a new engine, timing chain, camshaft and cam phasers done in September 2022 (87k miles) by previous owner. Following month I bought it and AutoNation said their was a 2 Year warranty on it.It is January 2023 (92k miles) and now it's in another **** dealership trying to fix their mistake.P0021 Over-Advanced Camshaft Position Timing Chain and re-calibration needed from poor install from AutoNation Ford Bradenton AutoNation Ford Bradenton told me they will not honor the warranty on the engine or any parts or labor done on my truck, even though they messed up on the timing. It was paid in full and now they won't fix their timing issue. They said my truck should have been trashed and not back on the road (rebuilt title years ago which has nothing to do with their work). They laughed when I said I need the warranty done to fix this issue with timing on the engine they installed and said no one including them will honor it. They said call legal and hung up It was supposed to have a 2 Year ******** but said since the truck was rebuilt years ago (the service at AutoNation was done years after being rebuilt) they won't honor it. The rebuilt title has nothing to do with the work done or the issues. It is currently at another **** dealership getting the engine re-timed right now and coming out of my pocket. Around $3000 was paid and after work was done I still have issues. They did not want me to drop it off to be seen, they did not want to touch my truck at all. This occured late January, around January 26th 2023.$3000 was paid by me to another dealership for work that was supposed to be warrantied.AutoNation Ford Bradenton claimed new engine was put in. Another **** dealership was able to confirm them was a lie. They only installed a new short block.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:AutoNation **** out right denied even looking or allowing me to have any service done to my vehicle after they worked on it from the previous Buyer. They laughed at me over the phone and said they will not work on my vehicle, not because of me or the functionality of the vehicle but from the previous owner.
I was denied any service or review of service of work done by them on my vehicle. They laughed and told me to call legal. Rude and made fun of me and my vehicle.
Sincerely,

I recently purchased a 2019 **** F350 Lariat I found online at Autonation **** of ***********. Upon agreeing with the terms of the sale with a representative over the phone and having their guarantee on the condition of the vehicle according to how it was advertised, I requested transfer of the vehicle to Auto Nation of Bradenton, where I reside. On the day when I received the new truck it was late and dark, we didn't finish all the paperwork pertaining to the sale until well after the dealership had closed for the day. Towards the end of the process, the sales rep and I went out to the truck, got in and discussed the interior options with me. He then got out and said I was all set to go, the plate was on the back and to enjoy my new truck! The following day I noticed damage all over the truck. The advertisement said this truck was as perfect as the day it came off the assembly line and was so clean it didn't need a warranty . The Carfax report quoted "one accident, no damage whatsoever". I have all the screen shots of this advertisement and of the Carfax report. Additionally, I have many pictures of all the damage this truck came with. I've persistently contacted the dealership to get this resolved and feel like I'm just getting the runaround or being ignored.I have in my possession the original window sticker for this specific truck which states all the original options it was supposed to include. When acquiring the vehicle, it was missing a rear sliding window with defrost, a deployable tailgate with step and, also, some of the worst bodywork I have ever seen. Both bumpers are dented, the body lines on the bedside have been sanded off and the rear structural pillars have both been crushed and very poorly fixed with body filler. I have pictures and proof of everything should they be necessary. I'd appreciate your assistance in having my truck repaired in accordance with the condition under which they advertised it. Thank you for your attention.Initial Complaint

On 5/14/2022 my boyfriend contacted Autonation Ford of Bradenton about a truck we were interested in. He spoke with Antwuan J. He took us on a walk around of the truck through Facetime Video and sent us pictures of the vehicle. He then had us fill out an application online for approval. We waited multiple hours during which time he ran my credit. He then told us that we would have an answer on Monday, but they would hold the truck for us. Later, he proceeded to tell me they sold the truck to someone for cash. Now I still have no truck and a bunch of hard hits to my credit report. I would like something to be done to resolve this matter and the hits to my credit report to be removed. Very unprofessional of the business and employee. It also doesn't look good on my credit report.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/18) */ Customer contacted Mr. ******** ref the 2007 f150 to purchase. Customer requested an online credit application which we sent him, after receiving application we submitted a deal to CFS, CFS was unable to obtain an approval on Saturday, CFS indicated there might be a possible approval but would not know until Monday . At that time (Saturday) we did not have an approval . A second customer came in on Saturday and wanted to purchase the 2007 F150 and we Received an approval and sold the unit. The unit in questions was never held for the first customer, we never agreed to hold unit until Monday ( ref recorded phone call ) Thank you Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/05/19) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The phone calls were from me J's cell phone and I have the text messages that he said he would hold the truck. Also if phone calls were recorded from his cell phone this was not stated. This is an unacceptable business practice. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/05/24) */ An agreement was not made to hold the vehicle until Monday Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2022/05/26) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The proof of agreeing to hold the vehicle is in the text messages that I have screenshots of. I will attach them with this message. Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2022/05/27) */ The customer was never at the store to reserve a vehicle. The team was not unable to secure a loan approval for Mr. ***** on Saturday and the following Monday a secure credit approval was still unsuccessful. Unit was sold to a customer who got approval. Other units were available for customer if he had approval. Consumer Response /* (4200, 15, 2022/06/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Whether I was at the store or not, I spoke to Antwuan on the phone. I didn't have to be at the store for Autonation to hit our credit hard multiple times. And I still have the text messages to prove he said he would hold it. I did not want other vehicles, I specifically asked for the F-150 that was supposed to be held for me. Antwuan J. decided to not respond most of the time other than through text message. This was extremely unprofessional of Autonation and Antwuan J.
