Not happy with business adding extras when I clearly stated many times I just want to purchase the vehicle. They said I get a toyota care package for buying the vehicle which includes basic headlight uv protection applications along with other interior protection. What they never said was it costs 2,995.00. I have to go once back to have applied. I did not want anything extra other than the brand new toyota 4runner trd offroad premium and factory warranty since there services they push won't be useful for me moving back toMichigan. I asked for it to be removed and said no and stopped responding. Not good business practices. I will return and will inform others to make sure they don't have the same happen.Review from Mike B

I recently had the displeasure of trying to do business with Gettel Toyota of Bradenton. While trying to work a deal on a used car that was listed online for a specific price, this dealer repeatedly gave me sales menus pricing the car higher than its advertised price, by at least a thousand dollars or more. Thee BDC manager *****************************************, sent me multiple menus stating that this was their best offer regardless I had pointed out on several occasions that their price did not reflect what it was very publicly being offered for online. I then received a generic email from the General Manager of the store *****************************, I took the opportunity to explain why Ive not yet purchased the vehicle that he was emailing about about and the dealerships sales tactics because nobody in their right mind wants or needs $3000 worth of Gettel Advantage products which have nothing to do with the actual car artificially inflating the price of the car those very same $3000. Its pure profit to the dealer if anybody wasnt sure. So due to the intangible products (Gettel Advantage) and the sale price of the vehicle not being honored or matching what its listed for online, the price was $4000-$5000more than it should have been because theyre being greedy and unethical. So thank you ***************************** and the others at Gettel Toyota of Bradenton for giving me the opportunity to shop for a 4Runner and find much better offers elsewhere and ****** you sent a other email encouraging me to leave the dealership a review, so here you are.Review from burkhard M

I went to Gettel Toyota Bradenton 14th St W Today for and oil change and tire rotation. I had an appointment and was there on time. A service advisor took over my car and everything was fine so far. About half hour later the advisor came back to to let me know that there is a problem with my rear brake system, my brake pads are dangerous down and I'm braking down metal on metal and its danger already and it needs to be fixed. I was very surprised because I was there for oil change 3 month ago and drove less then seven thousand miles in between and it showed that my indicator was green and that told me I had 50% or more and brake pads left. I was scared and let then do the repair because I need my car for business and it needs to be save. After the repair was done I received a phone call and I was told my car is ready for pickup. It turns out my bill went up to over $500.00 and I had the feeling I got ripped of. this is unacceptable. I talked about this to my friend he also had this once with Toyota Gettel and he also walked away From Gettel. what is going on with this company, why are they doing to to the people? I'm a mechanic engineer and I know that the rear brakes last way longer the the front brakes but these guys still try to scare the customers with false information to make unnecessary extra money for no reason. This is very bad reputation for Gettel Toyota and spreads the words to others. If Gettel not coming to me and fix this problem I also will walk away. I always was happy with this service but this is unacceptable. Gettel turns to a ripoff company like many others do.Review from David D

I went to have timing belt changed on my truck. Service rep could not gather himself enough to give me a written estimate. After 30-45 minutes he had a paper for the job. Just one. No copy for me. Tot. $987.00 he said told ya about $1000. I paid that total and left. I was scheduled for Friday morning. I dropped truck off 0800 Friday morning. I asked for ride home, 4 mile ride, told no can do. So I Uber home $27. Was called Saturday trucks ready. I Uber there. He said there were a few extra expenses. $1200 in extra!!! In my opinion, My truck was being held hostage for another $1200. After harsh words exchanged he gave me a $200 discount. I paid $1000. So total $1987.00 for a job quoted at $900-$1200. A different service rep said that was incorrect and attempted to help rectify this obvious mistake. No deal. Told to kick rocks. In my opinion they used my truck as leverage to extort my money from me.Gettel Toyota of Bradenton Response

We booked a Toyota Highlander limited edition 2022 and put $1000 as deposit. Unfortunately, we are having issue with our job and potentially be laid off soon. After we learnt that I called my sales rep ************************ Over the phone he was understanding. When we come to the showroom, manager ***** meets me in the front desk. I told him my situation but he seams like I did something horrible and didnt really want to help me. He said, finance is busy and it will take time. When I asked how long it may take, ************** both said it will be while be they can refund my deposit whereas they barely have any customers inside. Most surprising to me was their attitude. I would not recommend anyone to do business with them. That was our first time and I believe that is our last time too. So after waited an hour, someone from finance called me to start the process. This could have been done much faster and more professional manner.Review from Misty M

I went in on 5-2-2022.. I saw an add on Facebook and jumped at the offer.I went in knowing my budget (I'm a single parent) and at first the salesman was very helpful.. I let him know my budget and he found a few cars that might work for me..the first vehicle I was interested in was a Jeep Cherokee and after we test drove it and I decided that was the one.. they came back with,they can't sell that to me because it's going to auction..so I looked at a Town and Country mini van and decided that would work even though I didn't want a van..at first they didn't want to take my truck as a trade because it's old.. but the ad doesn't specify trade terms.. so they ultimately took it for a $2500 trade. I had a $300 a month budget and they got me to $329,not bad until I signed everything.After I signed everything and had the payments lined out they said I couldn't take the van for 2-3 days since it wasn't serviced yet,after 2 days I called to check on it and they said I needed my W2&check stubs, no problem I brought them. They weren't good enough, I work for a private owner and I get paid by personal check,but because I have a Publix employee credit union bank account they assumed I worked there even though I told them I didn't. I was told if I would just stop being difficult and give them my Publix check stubs this would go much faster. I don't work for Publix and can't produce something I don't have. So I told them to cancel my contract because obviously this isn't right for me and I left. Today 5-5-22 I got called 3 times from them.. I told the salesman that I wasn't interested anymore doing business with them and I hung up. 2 minutes later I got a call at the gas station I work at from the financial manager(the one that called me difficult) and he informed me that today they don't need my income verified just come get the van.. here's my problem. You gave me 21 hard inquiries on my credit, called me difficult and then wanted me to come back. NO THANKS.Review from Danette C

Their advertisement is a scam. I went in and told them exactly what my credit score was what payment I was able to afford and where I was at with no money down. I told him $300 was my top payment they came back and quoted me 29,900 for a car that wasn't even worth 15,000. They also quoted me a payment of $548. I am a single woman however I have been in sales for over 30 years I was spoken to very rudely by the finance representative and told that I had initialed a paper that I would except the car if they got the payment to 300. That was not even discussed other than the gentleman asked me to initial that I had been given this information. I am extremely upset with the way I was treated. We understand the frustration of trying to find a vehicle at a low payment, however, due to her unique credit situation and current interest rates, we are unable to offer a vehicle at that payment. It is never our intentions to have a client leave feeling that their time here was anything less than exceptional. All sales reps and finance reps have been addressed. We will continue our efforts of ongoing training and hope to earn her business in the future.
