This plumbing company is a scam to say the least. They gave us a quote of 600$ to fix a drain pipe. A minute later called back and said it will be 1800$. I called my friend to discuss and told them and said we dont them to do the job as they are charging too much. The plumber said that they already did half the job and charged my card right away. They left everything as is.When I questioned how can you do 600$ worth of work in 5 minutes? They said we pay for their knowledge. Not even a physician can charge 600 for 5 minutes.Review from Jasmine S

OMG HORRIBLE! Had a minor leak from the shower trim so I called and the "plumber" came the next day. He cut a huge hole in my bathroom wall to get the leak fixed which wasn't necessary. After 3 hours, he claimed the leak was fixed without showing me. When I went to give my son a shower, I noticed water pouring out from behind the faucet and the spout below. NOTHING was done professionally and now I have an even bigger problem than the initial minor leak. The "managers" are useless because you can't get a hold of them. I've sent several emails and now they just stopped responding. I was charged $1128 for nothing. A 2nd plumber came, spent several hours trying to fix what the 1st plumber damaged, but he was unsuccessful. He claimed he was talking to a manager "*****" and it was up to him what the next steps are. It was not his call. The plumber said I should get a refund, to request it when "*****" calls. He was suppose to call me that same night and since the initial problem but I NEVER heard from him. The plumber also said that the company will send restoration to make sure the leak didn't cause any serious water damage to my walls. They have to cut an even bigger hole to the bathroom wall in order to get the problem solved, but that they wouldn't be the one to fix the wall. That would have to be my problem to get that hole tiled. So who would have to pay for that? The "manager" doesn't want anything to do with this so now he just stopped emailing. The "manager *********************" said that he would call back, but never did & said he was "out of town". This is what they claim: "Benjamin Franklin Plumbing Emergency plumbing needs? Trust Benjamin Franklin for fast, effective service. Call Us Now. Trained, certified plumbers - expert, reliable & always on time. Get $5/Min If We're Late! At Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of *****, we provide our clients with efficient and high-quality plumbing services, making the process as convenient as possible" That is definitely all a LIE!Review from Bert P

. Migraines, tears, and constant coughs after installation of ducts injected with mastic sea. The offensive smell is as strong today as the day applied 6 weeks ago. 2. Promised to be a 2 day project. It took five.Mainly because two workers (Cody & Anthony) took an hour break sitting in their truck each morning and afternoon, with an hour lunch break in between. 3. You professed and promised a 100% satisfaction guarantee. 4.Extremely careless and sloppy work.Debrie left behind in attic upon "completion". 5. Several flex hoses connecting the main duct to vents were left unsealed. 6. Flex hoses not strapped to rafters and left lying atop each other. 7. A section of duct was attached to no outlet. Instead, affixed into a drywall! 8.Three large exposed fist-sized holes left untapped in furnace phlegm. See attached photos. 9. Extremely loud annoying wind whistle sound when blower is activated. Forced to sleep in spare bedroom, unable to remain in master bedroom. 10. Your maintenance workers attempted on three separate attempts to rectify complaints, Each was unsuccessful. Instead, their recommendations were to buy thinner merv filters when the system is designed to operate with #8s or better. 11. All ceiling vents were inoperable due to metal hood aprons from flex hoses inside were jammed into the movable louvers. Each should have been trimmed to fit before installation. 12. I must have been offered at least 25 apologies each from Ryan, Jason, and Richard. I do not want or need any more excuses or apologies. I have contracted another reputable company to correct the above concerns. I invite you to return and collect any and all materials you installed in the project. Stay clear unless you like excuses and very inferior work.Review from Michael R

Called at 8pm last night and was told for $200 a tech would be there by midnight. I called at midnight and they said tech still coming but service call would be free just have to pay for repair. I waited till 2am and called back and they said a manager would call me at 7am and the would send tech first thing. So I woke at 630 and waited till 11am. Called and they said they would escalate it. Manager called at 2pm amd said tech was assigned and repair would be today for no service charge but from 5pm to midnight again. I had to call another company to get air as I have copd and heat is bad for my o2 levels. It cost me $600 for short notice repair. Don't count on o e hour airReview from David K

This company was called to conduct leak detection for a home I’m looking to purchase. The company said they would be at the house by 2 pm and the charge for leak detection would be $89. the technician showed up at 4 pm. When he arrived he now said the cost would be $269. my realtor contacted the “Manager” ***** ********* who I was told was extremely rude and unaccommodating to my realtor. The technician seemed to have a difficult time determining the leak. He said initially that it may be a small leak, but changed this and stated it seemed quite large. He then said he could not tell us where the leak was coming from until he called out a second technician who had the proper equipment which would cost $500+ .. Ultimately, we discontinued any involvement with their services. I would not recommend nor would I ever use a company who seems to have plenty of hidden fees. Good luck if you call this company.Review from Sandra loo M

Not good. Very high prices. After arrival and $89.00 visit fee, plumber would not be able to go up on a small low one family roof due fear of moisture from rain. I can't see the point of a visit if the plumber already knew they were unable to go up on the roof before arrival. Asked me to sign three blank screens which were supposedly related to the visit. Later emailed me estimates which I was never heard, saw or agreed to. But the signed documents sent to me were for a loan agreement and club membership (which I never heard about or agreed to.) These documents should have never been offered for signature in the first place and their intent should have been made clear. I never agreed to a loan or club membership and I was not told that my signature was for this. I thought I was signing off on an $89.00 visit and completing administration forms pertaining to that visit as that was the only thing explained to me. Beware and be careful.Review from Susan T

They were never on time. They gouged my wall and left it that way. They wanted more money to move my bathroom vanity so I could get at the wall they gouged and fix it. They charged way too much for the work they did. Their website says they pay $5 for every minute they're late They were one hour late so they owe me $300. The first scheduled appointment they never even show *** I spoke to the manager and he only would do an uninstall for $89 extra and leave it that way not doing anything more unless I paid more money over the$89 and the price that I paid for the project initially. I refused. Instead of doing step by step installation they just plowed ahead leaving me with an inaccessible wall to tile. I only saw initially what I thought was 8" of untlled and thought I could fix it. Then taking a flashlight I realized that they had concealed the untiled portion with the vanity. Now I'm stuck with a very unprofessional job, a gouged wall partially apparent to the eye which can only be fixed by having the vanity pulled out and away from the wallReview from Nancy W

Bad news, does not rate even 1 star. I’m a senior and a widow, called this company to fix a prob with water running in the tank. Person representing company said I need a new toilet at estimate of $ 1,035. The plumber if you can call him that Did not diagnose or fix the problem of water running through the tank . I was charged the going rate for appt, dishonest plumber representing this company , my toilet only needs the running water through the tank fixed , which he did not even attempt to do. Dishonest ! Would not ever call them again.Review from Kristen P

In the end of October we experienced a clogged drain line, our house has settled and we "lost" the drop to the sewage management system. Our regular plumber couldn't help, his rooter was down. So, we called next in line, One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating of Niceville. The tech showed up, rooted out the drain pipe, ran a camera to verify repair/damage, that'll be $600! That's $400 more than our previous plumber ever charged over the years. The business states" they will eat the $600 if you sign up for the whole house repair program for $12000.00." They had me between a rock and a hard spot, so we went along with the program, no real choice. The next day 2 fellows showed up and began tearing out All my water lines, (which I had just replaced 3 years earlier), they began renovating our kitchen and 50 year old PVC. By the time I knew what was happening, it was too late, pipes were cut and gone, many holes were drilled, some extras, just like that. So they "fixed" all the PVC which was not needed. A new drain line was laid, which was all that was needed. In hindsight, the tech saw 2 old people (we're in our 70s, so no longer the sharpest knife in the drawer). This tech saw us coming and was gonna make big money on these 2 old goats. Commission? Noteworthy, the tech never mentioned tearing out our water lines, we had no real idea of the scope of work nor the costs, therefore all of this could've been avoided. Neither did we get a contract first (or still), nor espoused 20 year guarantee paperwork. In the end, taking advantage of old people on a fixed income is just COLD HEARTED and BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE. Especially $12000.00 that has put us in a bind for a long time.
