I made a reservation for rental property on **** ***** Island for the month of February 2024 ( Feb 3 - Mar 2) in February 2023. I paid the required deposit of $4,679 with the understanding that if I cancelled before 30 days and the property could be successfully rented for that period I would receive all of my deposit less a service fee of $150. That policy statement is still posted currently on the website. I cancelled in November. I have had several communications with the company and have been told I would receive the refund by the end of 2023. As of February 20, 2024, I have received no refund. The property has been rented for this period.Business response

To Whom It May ******************* I received a telephone call from **** and she is definitely getting a full refund. We did make an exception to our cancellation policy stated on our guest agreement (see # on the attached signed agreement) . . . **** is a repeat guest and she knows our cancellation policy below - not sure where the 30 days came in. . . the property was not rebooked as stated in the complaint and the reservation was cancelled in December 2023.
Cancellations: No credit is given in case of early departure, no-shows, inclement weather, acts of god and or mother nature. No subletting or assignment by the guest. All fees collected will NOT be returned upon cancellation unless the rental unit is re-rented for the entire period. If the unit is rented all fees collected will be refunded minus $150 service fee.
I did process a refund last month and it looks like there was an error (see attached) during processing. I will submit another refund for the full amount once I verify it will not create a double refund. Appreciate this being brought to our attention.
