The problem began earlier this year when I had a water leak in the bathroom of my house. While water was actively coming in my house from a water supply line leak, Disaster Recovery Pros was recommended by my plumber to help with the damages and rebuild. As water continue to pour into my house, a representative showed up and asked me to "sign on the dotted line" and the damage would be mitigated and rebuilt. In order for them to start their work, I was required to give them my homeowners insurance deductible amount. They would use this money toward the mitigation and rebuild. I did this, as I was concerned about the continued damage to my house. The mitigation portion went fine, however, when it was time for the rebuild, this company was very concerned about "how much" my insurance company would pay out to the maximum amount. They priced the rebuild down to the last cent of my entire insurance pay out, telling me they could not "piece-meal" this rebuild and it was "all or nothing." When I ask for the scope of the work to be done, they had included items such as "fireplace, drapery repair, hardware on the walls not affected by the water damage, and light fixture on the ceiling removal and reattachment." The scope was completely not relevant to the actual rebuild. When I questioned the scope, they told me they "had to account for everything, and that I had signed a contract stating as such." In order to cancel the rebuild with them, I now owed them 20% of the rebuild estimate. Even though the rebuild estimate was not relevant to the actual rebuild. They will not change the scope and are charging people across the board for rebuilds that are inaccurate. They are taking peoples' entire homeowners insurance pay out, without the homeowner knowing this. Most homeowners do not ask for the scope, so they would never know. This is fraud.I want to cancel my rebuild and pay the 20% of the ACTUAL scope of the work to be done.Business response

Disaster Recovery Pros does not do reconstruction and did not have a contract for construction with this person. Please remove this inaccurate report.

The name and contact number of the company that supplied these services to me are named at the top of these documents. I am sending a copy of the original "scope" of the work, as well as, a markup of the work that actually needed to be done. Please let me know if you need more information. Thanks - *************;
