Electrical panel and all connections throughout the house were supposedly updated and signed off by JA Electrical services in March 2023 prior to my purchase of the home. However, on Christmas Eve 2023, we smelled burning in my sons room and quickly realized that the electrical panel; which is in his closet & not to code; was smoking. We then lost power throughout the house. I suppose by luck, the wires that were causing the issue - ***************** together by wire not and correct connectors - burned enough to separate within the panel. My family; including 3 young ************ were without power for the next several days, including Christmas eve and Christmas day.There are several other electrical items throughout the home that do not meet code, as this work was done without proper permitting, which we found out after moving in.Business response

At the time of our inspection. All alumicon connections were tight in panel. Aluminum wire is unpredictable and unreliable. And we can not be held accountable for aluminum wires.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:The work they performed was done after home inspection and after all other work was completed. nobody else touched the panel. They were hired for this very specific issue, to install proper connections on ALL necessary wires, they did not do so.

We were hired to check existing connections on existing alumicon connections. This was done in march of 2023. We dont use wire nuts on copper to aluminum connections. We use purple aluminum blocks. How do we know there wasnt anyone in panel after our job completed. Also what circuit was this related too?Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: Once again, JA was brought in to ensure that ALL connections in the panel were up to code and we received notifications from them stating such. However, they missed a connection, which caused the issue.
