I hired Floridas Tree Surgeon in Late August 2023 to cut down and remove an old Oak. They cut it down and piled it on mine and my neighbors property. I paid them over the phone with a credit card same day and they were going to pickup the tree in the next few days. They never returned and don't answer my calls any more. When I can get a hold of someone by requesting a new quote on their website, they are apologetic and assure me it will be taken care of in the next few days and this has been going on for over a month.

This company gave me an estimate for cutting tree limbs and trimming palm trees plus debris removal on 9/10/22. Work began on 9/12/22, and all the cutting and trimming were done. They moved 33 cubic yards of debris to my side yard next to the street. Informed me that they would be by to pick the debris up later that day or the next morning. I paid for the work at that point $3000. No one showed, early morning on 9/13/22 a city official came by and informed me that the debris pile needed to be removed asap due to obstructing access to a fire hydrant. Texted the company representative that did the work in the am of 9/13/22. The response was the truck was out but we were on the schedule, and could not give eta because they use a third party to collect debris. Over the next four days, we were told via text several different stories ranging from: they are on the way and should be there to finally truck is broken. I texted the rep once again explaining that they have been aware since 9/13/22 that the debris needed to be removed asap, I gave them until Friday at the close of business 9/16/2022 to have it removed or I would hire another company to get the job completed at their expense. He responded OK. Found another company to complete the job, two loads of debris for a total of $1300, completed on 9/19/2022. The owner did reach out on 9/18/2022 and told me he could have a truck on 9/19/2022. I informed him I had entered into an agreement with another company as per the confirmation via text on 9/16/2022. Contacted the rep and company owner, and sent them copies of the paid invoice. The owner told me that he would have the rep stop by with a check. No responses to texts, emails, or calls after that.

Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2022/10/19) */ The customer refused to let us pick the debris up. He called another company and paid them to do so after I reached back out to let him know that we would take care of it ourselves. He is bullying the owner. Consumer Response /* (3000, 11, 2022/10/20) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The owner reached out after I had entered into a contract with another company and they had completed half of the debris removal already. The owner asked if he could pick up the rest of the debris so he would not incur any further expense. I contacted the other company to see if that would be satisfactory with them, but they had already turned down additional work to complete my job. I responded that I was already committed to the other company at that point. I don't see how that is bullying.

I am filing a complaint about the florida tree surgeons. They came to my brothers house to cut 2 trees that they did, but did not grind the stumps and they also did not remove the debris. The price was suppose to be 2,000.00. My sister in law paid 1500.00. She told them when they complete the job she will get the 500.00. The Job of cutting the trees was done on July 8. They have been avoiding my sister in law phone calls, so she had me call in her behalf. They initially answered my phone call and said they would get back to me but they didn't. I tried calling them back but they would not answer. after 2 days i used a co-workers phone with a different area code and they picked up. I told them that i would report them to the better business bureau and they told me they didn't care. Person that we been speaking to there was Tony. They have not resolved the issue and told me to find another company to complete the job. She also told them she will pay the last 500 dollars if they complete the job, but they told here they are based out of Jacksonville and they are no longer in the area. Please help us resolve this issue as i see in yelp we are not the only people they have done this too.

I paid $4500. For the removal of three cedars and one water oak. Hesitated to pay before the job was completed but they suckered me into it. The contract included grinding the stumps and removal of all debris excluding the grindings it took about a week for them to haul the logs. Many phone calls. Many excuses. Haven't seen them since. Some small debris is left. All stumps remain. They promised to power wash my neighbors driveway due to oil mess from their equipment. Now they won't return my calls at all.

Our neighbor hired Florida Tree Surgeon's company to remove trees from her property the week of 16 May 2022. The Florida Tree Surgeon's staff damage/destroyed several trees on our neighboring property (our island) while moving their equipment down our private road. Also, while using their heavy equipment on our road they put scrapes, ruts and grooves into the road. The son of the owner was directly spoken to about the damage they created to our property and we were assured by him verbally that they would repair and correct all damages. This did not occur. We did not hire this company and they destroyed trees on on property. They were fully informed and verbally provided intent to remedy but failed to do so.

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/06/17) */ Contact Name and Title: Jonathan M**** Contact Phone: 3864530979 Contact Email: Floridatreesurgeons@gmail.com We were called to a hazardous tree removal in which we hired a crane. The hired company had to make room for the outrigger for their crane and in doing so removed a few branches. We would love to speak with you to come to an agreeable resolution to make you happy. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/06/21) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) You are not correct regarding branches cut. The company removed entire tress that were in place for many years. If equipment is too large to bring down an private road then you bring smaller equipment. Period. My spouse spoke to the son of the hired contractor the day of damages done to our property trees and crêpe myrtle bush. The trees were damaged to ground level and the company actually cut them to ground level without permission. My spouse spoke to the son on site notifying him of the damages and his direct verbal reply was that they would make it right. The only way to make it right is to replace the Spanish bayonet Yucca trees and provide for a new crêpe myrtle. After the company left our neighbor site my spouse made several attempts to call the company directly which he received either no answer or no response to messages left. Your company should be immediately removed from the Better Business Bureau as a reputable company.

My name is **** and I am an active-duty U.S. military officer that recently moved to Avondale in Jacksonville, Florida. I signed a contract with Florida's Tree Surgeons for a substantial amount of tree and bamboo removal on my property which is necessary to install a privacy fence. I signed a contract with their salesperson Jeremy for $9500. Jeremy assured me multiple times that they would not take payment until the project was completed and I was satisfied. The job involved removing two large water oaks, grinding multiple tree stumps, removing approximately 250 feet of clumping bamboo, and removing two more smaller trees within the bamboo clusters. Initially Jeremy stated the entirety of the job would be completed within one day and we scheduled the 4th of January 2022. During the process it was apparent that at least another day of work would be required, and we scheduled the 8th of January 2022. As I had a training mission that evening, Jeremy and John M**** requested partial payment in advance of the job completion assuring me that they would make good on the contract. I delivered Jeremy a check for $8,000 and departed as they continued working. When I returned the following morning a piece of construction equipment was left in my backyard along with multiple piles of cut bamboo on the property, the 40-foot trunk of a water oak on its side, and over half the bamboo still standing. The next day Jeremy called me to let me know they would not be able to return Saturday the 8th of January as the broken equipment prevented them from finishing the job. Fence installation was scheduled for February 1st and Jeremy told me that John M**** had "given his word" the job would be finished by then. As of February 8th John M**** has stopped returning my messages and calls and his office has assured me he has received them. I am seeking a refund of $4500 for waste disposal and the portions of the contract that have been left unfinished.

employed Florida's Tree Surgeons services on 1/6/22 to remove a water oak, prune sucker branches and dead limbs from two live oaks and remove a limb from another water oak. They completed the removal and cutting of the water oaks but failed to meet the agreed to obligations regarding the live oaks. The company trimmed one of the two live oaks, with the southern most live oak work outstanding. I paid the company representative $2,400 for the work; original contract called for a total cost of $2,500, but there was damage to my gutter diverted and we agreed to reduce price by $100 to cover materials and labor to replace. I have reached out to them many times , through various points of contact, have been told "we will be there on this date or that date to correct the problem" and nobody calls or shows up to finish work. The company's latest commitment was to complete work on 1/25/2022; however, no work was completed and I was not contacted. Based upon our written statement of work, this company is in breach of contract.

Consumer Response /* (2000, 6, 2022/02/07) */ Alas, somebody wanted to find relief from my calls. While I don't think they've read this BBB complaint, I finally go Florida Tree Surgeons to ACTUALLY show up and close on their contractual agreement. No hard feelings, I was told by the arborists. Nonetheless, no hard feelings when your the offender. This was completed on Friday, 2/4/2022. I stand by my previous warnings.
