I purchased a service with a money back guarantee. If I did not recover at least $350 they would refund my $350. To date I have recovered $0. I was told I have to spend more money and time taking them to court in order to receive my $350. It is a scam and the public should know DV Check takes your money, sends you Unacceptable documentation and then blames the consumer for their failure. This is nothing but a scam to get you to spend more money.Business response

We understand your frustration with the insurance company's decision to deny your claim and we're sorry to hear that you're dissatisfied with the terms of our refund policy.
In situations where the court awards an amount less than the appraisal fee, we offer a refund of the appraisal fee. Our guarantee policy is posted on the website, and we also provided a link to the guarantee terms in the initial consultation email that was sent to you on May 13th, 2024.
The insurance company's opinion of our appraisal does not determine its acceptability. The appraisal's acceptability will only be known after it has been reviewed by the court.
As with any insurance claim, going to court is sometimes necessary when they fail to make a satisfactory settlement offer. Court fees are typically under $100 and are also recoverable when you win the case.

I am rejecting this response because I was told by your rep that if I did not receive at least $350 back after DV Check letters they would refund my $350. Court filings, attorney fees, time off work without pay and inconvenience was never disclosed, DV Check operated in bad faith and will not refund the amount because this is a scam. They collect money and provide weak evidence and insurance companies decline it. the suspecting person has no idea this is a scam until it is too late. They know their evidence is not accepted in the industry but promise large payouts knowing all along it is a scam. The BBB should blacklist DV Check.
Sincerely,

We respectfully disagree.
Our company has a long and proven track record of successfully assisting clients with their appraisal needs.
A scam involves charging a fee without providing an appraisal and then disappearing without further contact. It is not a scam simply because an insurance company elects to deny a claim.
We are fully prepared to support the accuracy of our appraisals in court and are ready to offer expert witness testimony to support your claim and others, in order to maximize our clients’ chances of success in their legal matters.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: Than take the insurance company to court and send me the $350. Prove that your appraisal is valid in court. if you can't this is the definition of a scam.Your lies meet the definition below of a scam.
the intentional use of deceit, a trick or some dishonest means to deprive another of his/her/its money, property or a legal right
Sincerely,
