Consulted ***************************** about registering our corporation as a WOSB (Women Owned Small Business). We paid $2,500 to the company United States Business Registration, sent her all of our personal information about identity and corporation in regards to steps of registration. We never heard back from ****** and her company. We believe that we have been scammed! Wont answer phone calls and wont answer emails. Very disappointed and upset of trusting this company to assist us in becoming registered as a WOSB.Business response

***************************** came to USBRI requesting assistance with obtaining their *** Registration, Federal Small Business Certification and a Woman Owned Small Business (****) Certification for their organization. To assist anyone with any of these procedures involves cooperation from both sides. We stress this upfront as you will obviously need to prepare and gather quite a few documents to successfully complete these applications and obtain approval from such. We were able to successfully complete the *** Registration and Federal Small Business Certification requests for this client relatively quickly. The last of the 3 requested services, the **** Certification, can take up to a year and requires anywhere from ***** documents in reference to each owner. This particular client's entity has 2 owners and they were able to provide 5 of the 12 requested documents for each owner before they stopped responding to the requests for such mandatory documents around March of 2022 when we stopped sending requests for the additional documents that are part of the application process itself. This is 8 months after we started on their request for the ****. These documents are reviewed manually by a government employee during the review process in order to reach a decision on approval or not. Of the 5 documents provided, 3 were incomplete. It is quite a bit of work, much more than anyone would think when going into it. We have not heard from this client whatsoever for almost a year until we received this complaint via the BBB. In response to this client's complaint, we are unable to offer a refund of any kind. However, if they are open to cooperating and finishing the requested application itself, we extend the offer to pick up where they off left in March of *********************** obtaining their **** (Woman Owned Small Business) Certification.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I would like to receive correspondence from FBR **** and will hold them to continuing our application in efforts of obtaining our WOSB certification!
