Moved into The Park At ******** June 25th 2022 with my wife and two kids(5&6). Aside from the fact that they never have Maintenance men to fix anything wrong or that, whatever needs to be fixed is never "in the budget" or that the air conditioner is too small to cool the apartment and doesn't allow for proper airflow leading to mold, the real problems began after hurricane *** came and ripped holes in roofs. After not fixing the holes in the roof and multiple visits from code enforcement the problems grew worse. Obvious water damage, a weird smell coming from the roof as well as rodents. Everything was brought to the offices attention only to be brushed off and treated as if WE were the ones who caused the problems. My rent was always paid on time, i was a considerate tenant who wanted to live peacefully but wasn't given the opportunity and then my family and i were punished for it. As if we weren't the ones getting ripped off, paying these thieves. I started to wake up in the middle on the night gasping for air unable to breath... so i went to a sleep specialist to see if it was sleep apnea, after the visit i was informed that i did not have sleep apnea. My wife and kids at this time were also sick and started to develop really bad allergies. I put the pieces together and asked the office for a mold test to which they reluctantly complied and i never saw any results. After asking time and time again for results i was VERBALLY reassured that it was ok and i didn't need to be shown the results. I found and secured an apartment and gave them as much notice as i could given the circumstances. They've made no effort to help they've only made things worse by lying and saying i only paid a $300 deposit(which i have proof that i was made to pay $700) and they sent me to a collection agency claiming i didn't give them enough time and that they want another $1300 on top of the $700 they already took(without an itemized list of what the money was used for).
