I’m not a direct client but I have the poor experience of being the neighbor of a home they have been literally trying to build for almost 10 months (Small ranch home)… Having built more than a few homes myself I feel I need to share this. Between the loud crews with total disregard for city noise or start time ordinances, nails in tires, destruction of my property as well as the other neighbors yards coupled with having to watch the poor craftsmanship, I don’t see this new home lasting more than 10-15 years where it sits before the poor craftsmanship starts to degrade. When confronted they act as if they don’t speak English. Good leadership starts at the top and obviously the head of this company is lacking in many areas. Due to the fact they have treated multiple people here poorly with ZERO regard for anyone, I’m giving this review to hopefully stop them from coming to your block. If you see a sign saying Daniel Wayne homes in your neighborhood I truly do pity you… Grade-F

I am sorry to hear your thoughts about being a neighbor to one of our new home projects. You did not specifically state which project that you live near but based on your zip code I will assume it is the riverfront house in ***************** that is currently under construction.
First of all, I would like to stick to the facts:
1.This home had the footer inspection approved on 8.17.2022. We then lost two months of construction time due to Hurricane *******
2.Daniel Wayne Homes, Inc. has been in business for over 30 years and completed more than 700 homes in *** and ******* County. Many of them on the barrier islands. It is important to note that all these homes survived Hurricane Ians 150 M.P.H. winds with minimal damage. This includes homes built on ********************, *******, and Captiva islands.
3.The new custom home that you are referring to will be built to the 2021 Edition of the ******* Building Code and will be able to withstand 160 M.P.H. winds. This home is also elevated to current FEMA flood elevations and had no water on the living floor following Hurricane **** storm surge.
4.We have previously been in contact with both neighbors on each side of this building site and assured them that any damage to their lawns or property (except what Hurricane *** did) will be corrected.
5.We adhere to all *** County noise and working hours.
6.As far as nails on the road causing flat tires, our subcontractors only use coiled nails for their nail guns. We have no boxes of loose bulk nails on the job site. However, following Hurricane *** many of the homes in that neighborhood were old and suffered major damage and in some cases total destruction. This left the road covered in house debris with included nails, glass, roofing shingles, and metal debris.
7.You are correct many of our subcontractors employees do not speak English as their first language. However, our superintendents all speak English and our Company phone number (we have had the same number for over 30 years) is clearly posted on the job site. We never received one call from you regarding this situation according to our records.
I am sorry that you feel you experience with Daniel Wayne Homes, Inc. has not been a good one. However, we plan to leave your neighborhood and the homesite we are building on a much better place than that which we started.
We also leave a very happy customer with a new house just like the hundreds of other Daniel Wayne Homes, Inc. owners.
Sincerely,
