The contract threatened a very significant financial penalty for leaving a negative review. In my opinion, this is highly immoral - disgusting, frankly - and should be all you need to know.This review is not a condemnation of every employee. The lead tech in particular appeared to mean well, and I think the branch manager was put in a tough spot. However, I have to be honest about my experience with the company as a whole:In hindsight, I would have never hired The Mold Pros. A mold assessor's report was provided, and they proposed a job that did not include such a report in the post-testing criteria and was sold to me in a very misleading way in my opinion. Yes, I should have been more careful before hiring them, but what does it say about The Mold Pros that I should have been careful to not agree to their terms? After the first post-inspection, they did agree to come back, but their work was still not up to the standard of the assessor even after returning. It took hiring another company to finally get the assessor to approve of the work done. The other company spent much more time completing their work, and not because they were slow. The amount The Mold Pros charged compared to the amount of work they did was ridiculous in my opinion compared to the other company.Learn from my mistake. Hire someone else. Use an assessor that is knowledgeable and comprehensive in conducting a visual inspection, necessary lab tests, and anything else they may find to be relevant, and find a company that actually respects all of the assessors findings. In my experience, this was most certainly NOT The Mold Pros.Review from Emily H

John B. and his team did a great job both in explaining the details of the work needed to test for mold, measure the degree of the problem, and what steps were involved in remediating the problem. A month ago I noticed some black mold growing in the ceiling of my downstairs bathroom. OKIll get real here, I was in a panic. Mold is toxic plus I had another issue to deal with. I have a chemical sensitivity to any product that would be used to remedy the situation which includes building materials, cleansers, paints, etc. Over the weeks I talked with mold remediation cos, mold testing cos, insurance agents, my Doctor etc. It was difficult to figure out what the solution was for me because they seemed to have conflicting opinions. I did a bunch of research on natural non toxic remedies for mold and that led me to *********************** at The Mold Pros **** because of their Surface Guard product. Over the past weeks I have been talking to and emailing ***** and he has been a tremendous help in figuring stuff out. Not only do I think ***** got an A in customer service but with his wealth of information and advice I was able to figure out what steps to take. This might sound dorky here but sometimes I cannot keep my mouth shut. ***** seemed to be a calm in my storm and I so appreciated his integrity. Thank you ***** for all your help dealing with a panicked little old lady. Terrible service and unprofessional: The Mold Pros were recommended to me by my doctor to mitigate some mold in my office, because I'm extremely sensitive to it. Unfortunately, they did a poor job and then wouldn't fix mistakes. The first issue was they didn't have a field person to do the work, so an office person led the team that cleaned my office, who does not typically do field work. I hired The Mold Pros because of their supposed expertise. Then the team the office person led was made up of novices hired from a temp agency. After they were done cleaning, I was left with pizza stains on my carpet, cleaning solution streaks on my walls, and a expensive desk brokennone of which they were willing to fix since they were "incidental" to the work they did. And to top it off, they lost my test results, which prevented me from working in my office for months. What an expensive lesson.The Mold Pros of South Florida, Inc. Response

We are surprised to hear your concerns regarding the remediation that was completed four months ago. We agree the lab results were lost in transit to the lab and we came back out and tested again. We apologized for the delay with the overnight carrier and we worked quickly to resolve the issue. The good news is the post test results on the office came back cleared on the post-test and the remediation was a success. Below are a few bullet points on the project
• The remediation occurred February 10th and 11th of this year and was supervised by the Branch Operations Manager - not an "office person". Our teams undergo extensive training on mold remediation and the posttest confirms the quality of the work.
• February 18th 2022, upon completing the project walkthrough, you on signed the Completion Certificate stating the project had been completed per the scope of work and to your satisfaction. There was no mention of any concerns you are bringing up months later. You had access to the office for a full week after the project was finished and could have (and should have) brought up any concerns during the final walk through.
• Regarding pizza stains on your office carpet - Per company policy, our employees are not allowed to eat at the job site. We did not cause the stains. Again, a new issue four months after completion?
• Regarding the broken desk - another issue brought up months later and we do not believe we caused the scratches to the desk. Your concerns were elevated to our Director of Operations - Damon C. He reviewed the pictures that you sent and determined the scratches appear to normal wear and tear. Even though the concern was brought up months after the project closed and your signed completion stating the work was performed to your satisfaction, he offered an amount to compensate for the desk to be repaired in your office. You declined the offer.
At The Mold Pros, we are committed to quality work and client satisfaction. The independent laboratory analysis confirms the quality of the work and your signed Certificate of Completion is evidence that you were satisfied back in February. We appreciate the 4 star review but disagree with the new concerns months after the fact. If you wish to accept our offer for the desk, please contact us by the end of June.
