On 9/3/22 my wife and I traded 2 cars in to purchase a new Jeep Grand Cherokee. Both vehicles had loans and required a pay-off. We completed the deal with Arrigo of Fort Pierce purchasing both cars from us as a trade-in. The pay off on the one car (****) worked out fine but on the other ***** I received a letter from ***** on 11/3/22 that I was overdue in my payment. I contacted ***** who told me the ***** I traded was never paid off by Arrigo and if I did not make a payment, it would impact my credit. I called Arrigo who said they would investigate it but instructed me that I should make the payment so my credit would not be impacted. Since then, I have had numerous calls with both ***** and Arrigo neither of which have fixed the issue. Arrigo says they mailed a check to ******* who in turn cashed it so they are good on their end but would assist. ***** says that ****** can non accept the check on their *****s behave even though they are the same company. I dont know why I as the consumer need to have paid more money to try and keep my credit while those companies have a car and money. I believe that ******* law (******) requires dealers to pay off a loan trade in 10 days. We are now at 28 days and no resolution. I will also be filing a claim against *****.Business response

This is handled and the payoff check has been sent to correct address (customer has all copies as well as *** Tracking #). We sent a payoff check to the wrong address originally 2 days after customer purchase. The lender cashed it and did not return to dealer we were unaware that it was sent to wrong address.Initial Complaint

ON 7/22/22, I PURCHASED A 2022 DODGE CHALLENGER R/T FROM ARRIGO CHRYSLER IN FT. PIERCE. I HAD THE *** TWO WEEKS AND BROUGHT IT IN FOR SERVICE. THE ENGINE WAS MISFIRING AND WAS SPUTTERING WHILE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC. THEY AGREED THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE AND THEY WOULD REPAIR IT. AS OF 9/11/22, **************************** THE **** AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S WRONG. DURING THIS TIME I ASKED THAT THEY BUY THE *** BACK AND THE BEST THEY WOULD DO WOULD BE TO GIVE ME BOOK VALUE, A LOSS TO ME OF $6,600. IF I WANTED TO BUY ANOTHER *** I WOULD HAVE TO TRADE MY *** IN AND PAY AN ADDITIONAL $11,000. FOR AN EVEN SWAP THEY WOULD GIVE ME A CHALLENGER SXT WHICH IS A 6 CYLINDER LOWER MODEL THEN THE R/T THAT I BOUGHT. I HAVE FILED LEMON LAW NOTICE AND AM NOW FILING FOR LEMON LAW ARBITRATION. THIS IS THE THIRD *** THAT I BOUGHT FROM ARRIGO AND APPARENTLY THEY DO NOT BELIEVE IN CUSTOMER LOYALTY.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: The car was picked up and repaired, but not till they had it for 45 days. This was due to the shop having to confer with Chrysler in ******* for repair suggestions via emails. It would take two days for Chrysler to get back to them each time. My complaint isn't with the repair shop. My complaint is with the sales department. After the car had been in the shop for over two weeks with no sign of being fixed I spoke with the sale manager about them buying it back or trade for a similar car that they had advertised on their web site that morning for $41,000 cash. That was the same price I paid for my car. He said that they would, but would they would only give me book value of $37,000. This would be a loss to me of $6,600, after only owning the car for two weeks, and if I wanted the similar priced car, I would have to give them an additional $11,000. So they wanted me to pay $48,000 for a car they advertised for $41,000. If I add in the $6,600 loss on my car that would be $54,600. When i questioned him about the $41,000 cash price he said they don't go by that. They go by the ***** How can you go by the **** when you advertise it for $41,000 cash? Over the years I have bought three cars from Arrigo Chrysler, they apparently don't believe in customer loyalty.
Sincerely,
