I have contacted Emerald Coast Funeral Home twice to have my address removed from their mailing list, yet I received another "survey" from them today. Each time that I called, I spoke with someone that assured me it would be removed. We still receive at least one piece of mail per month from them, the latest being a "survey to determine how members of our community plan for one of the hardest thing a family has to face... the death of a loved one." The mailing before that was a postcard offering "Free Dinner & Learn on the benefits of pre-planning your final wishes." After the loss of my father, their insistence on making another sale by sending unsolicited mail to my home is a disgusting business practice. Every unsolicited mail from this company brings up painful memories that my family did not ask to relive. I regret using this company, but would not have filed this BBB complaint if they had simply removed our address from their mailing list the first two times I asked.Business response

We found the ****** mailer, we mailed a "Yong ******" for Emerald Coast's June 21st & June 23rd ACEP events.

We added them to the DNC list now. We did not find anything for ********** **** ** ** ********** - We will still go ahead and DNC that address too under both ****** and ****** as the household names.

It is unfortunate that this matter required BBB intervention when this is all I originally asked for when contacting Emerald Coast Funeral Home the first two times. However, I am satisfied with the outcome.
I do not know what the reference to "********** **** ** ** **********" means as we are not associated with that address.
