Dishonest and incompetent. I tried to open a simple savings and checking account. After 2 weeks of back and forth, they finally bless me with an account. When I went to set up online banking (which I had told them many times was the only reason I needed the accounts), there was no way to set up transfers to another bank. I called support and was told they put a SIX MONTH lock on new accounts. I told them have perfect credit, in the 800s, and there is no reason at all for this. It's been a week and now, they simply refuse to respond to my requests to close the useless accounts. All I can guess is that they get credit for number of members somehow... This behavior baffles me. Bottom line is they **** and should not be trusted with your hard earned money.Review from Do C

This bank used to be GREAT; as of Nov 2024 they are pitiful. They placed a restriction on my account so I cannot log in to my account to see what the issue is. I recently closed my checking with them, but still have 3 other accounts. Upon using "chat" I was told I have to call. After holding for >20 minutes, I was told no help was available, the **** who locked my account wasn't there, that my account was "dormant" after regular use, and a request would be placed to have someone call me on Monday, 11/4. No one called. I tried calling Monday at 4:10 pm, was on hold >33 minutes without response. I hung up and tried a different number (there are several available!), where I was on hold 5 mins. During this hold I was given an option to leave a "call back request without losing my place in line", which I did. I received a call back at 5:21pm, however the person disconnected the moment I answered. I tried calling back and gave up after 19 more mins on hold. 11/5 I tried again to call with the same result: extended wait on hold, request call back, bank person hangs up as soon as I answer. 11/6 I tried again, this time leaving my work desk phone as the call back number. I got the exact same result, the bank person disconnected as soon as I answered!!! Such a waste of time, major aggravation, and now I'm forced to go in the bank when I set everything else up online specifically because the only branch near me is very inconvenient. I've had this account more than 5 years, and this is how I'm treated??! I think it's reasonable to at the very LEAST be able to discuss an issue the bank created on the phone as well as have the barest minimum of customer service available.Review from Larry B

DO NOT BANK WITH FLORIDA CREDIT UNION! They do not value customer service, they are rude and disrespectful, and have no care for their members. There soi-called policies are not in line with any other credit unions and banks, they place a hold on your money and as quoted to me "we don't have to release your money/check, until we feel the need to on our end". I was told that even if the other bank cleared the check, that they do not care, they will hold it as long as they feel it is necessary too. Disrespectful, down right rude and a horrible bank over all. If I were you, I'd take my money elsewhere.Review from JAY D

Garbage...This place is literally garbage. Other institutions have benefited from my business as this one has always said..."no".Review from Antongila W

I was with this credit union for approximately two months. They do not care about their customers, whom supposedly own the *********************************************. They do not tell the truth when confronted with questions, neither do they try to resolve the situation. I would not give them my honey ever again.Review from Julio R

Do not conduct business with this outfit!I submitted a payoff for an auto loan. The account still had a due amount because the payment was submitted after the ***** payoff day range. They did not bother or have the generosity or honesty to communicate and let me know of this. Instead, they quietly left it alone with a due date of January 2025; six months from today. On my account summary page, it showed an amount due for the total monthly payment due in January 2025. One account page says one thing and the other says something different. In the meantime, here I am making payments for the new loan to my other institution and FLCU will not release the title until the old loan is paid off. This is a sneaky way of FLCU to keep an account open to accrue interests on an account. If I had not called FLCU to inquire of and resolve this issue, this loan would have not been paid off and FLCU would still have rights to the vehicle title.Keep an eye on your accounts and be diligent.Review from Laurie W

My husband and I met with a service representative about a HELOC. We immediately supplied all the required documentation, then patiently waited for a response. I received a call from the loan processor stating we had conditional approval with the condition being the appraisal. The appraisal was late coming in, but was sufficient to cover the loan amount. Another 2 weeks go by with no communication. I emailed ou loan processor regarding the status of our loan. She called me back and advised we were denied because the underwriter did not want to approve the loan at 100%. Ok, fine. What about a lower amount? She said we would need to reapply. WHAT! I called the member services rep back then emailed her when I received no response. Reapplying was completely inconsistent with what she told us at the beginning of this process. The member service rep reached out to the underwriter and said our debt to income ratio was insufficient. Five days later, we go into the branch on an unrelated matter and was told our DTI was fine and they did not understand why we were denied. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! They are dishonest.Review from Ha M

Two out of ten people can help you past the basics you can do yourself. Horrible listeners and they're reluctant to help you with any problem involving getting your moneyReview from CHRISTINA S

Don't die with accounts here. Even as a joint beneficiary it will take multiple months of their poorly named ****************** to even reach out to you. I'm convinved it would have been faster to put my Dad's accounts through probate.Review from Jody F

My husbands truck was stolen by this credit union. We obtained a loan for the truck from this institution. Have made payments every 4weeks since purchasing it (thats an extra payment a year). Have had full coverage insurance since the beginning with no lapse in coverage. They came in the middle of the night to repossess the truck. We woke up to no vehicle in our driveway. We ,called the police who told us it has been repossessed. We called the credit union to find out what happened and an extremely rude person told us that they took it because it did not have insurance. We explained that we have always had insurance how could they ********** our vehicle. She said the only way to get it back is to fill out a packet. When we received the packet it was for hardship. The woman we talked to would not answer any questions I had. We will be getting a lawyer. I have never in my like had a customer service person talk to me the way she did.
