Please help me get my money of $4, 4500.00 - four thousand five hundred dollars deposited 06/03/2022 to the ********** Account of EZ Permits & Legalizations -account number *********, routing number ******** as an initial deposit for taking an addition built at the rear of my house up to code by " REMOVE SHEETROCK AND ADD 2X6 TO EXISTING STRUCTURE" per *****. The building was a board structure done with 4x4 and sheetrock. I discussed this with EZ ************************************************ ******* I was reassured that it was not necessary to demolish the structure, photographs and measurements were sent to *****. I had the survey done as requested.I was not able to print the initial permit, ***** was to make adjustments and resend. The permit was delivered on the day of INSPECTION, 06/09/22. The inspection revealed that the work would be more extensive than we had discussed. It now requires the roof to be raised and extended. My garage at the front was now to be added to the project. My entire house was inspected and photographed. My fire functional fire alarm was now deemed to be not to code. I was at work during the inspection, my husband was home. I called ***** and told her that I could not afford this extensive work , so I was cancelling. She promised to call be back, never did. I sent her a text message the next day to cancel, I DID NOT SIGN & RETURN THE CONTRACT.***** had NO DISCUSSION WITH ME, instead she discussed the project with the person who referred me to her as she IGNORED ME. 07/06/22, ***** texted me " ***** YOUR PROJECT IS DONE THE ONLY THING PENDING IS THE **** WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE FOR ME TO DO"I have sent text spoken to her by phone , sent text messages and emails reminding her of cancellations and requesting refund of my money. She initially denied cancellation, months later she said that work was already done when I cancelled. Her last text to me 02/20/23. " I DO NOT DO INSPECTION, I DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT, ****** WORKS FOR FREE..."

      Ref: complaint #********

      1.  On or about April 19, 2022, ***************** contacted our office seeking assistance to legalize an addition you have built without a permit.
      2.  I explained the permit process and code requirements.  Mrs. ******* went on to explain that her walls were 4x4 and wanted to speak to her husband about further rebuilding her exterior wall and bringing them to code.
      3.  On April 25, 2022, ***************** sent me a text that she did not want to proceed.
      4.  A month later, May 31, 2022, ***************** sent me a text that she was ready to commence the project.
      5.  I spoke to ***************** on June 1, 2022, to explain again the process and code requirements.  She went on to say that she fixed the walls to code.
      6.  I specifically told ***************** verbally, again, that she shouldnt have and should not continue to do work in her home without an approved permit.
      7.  June 1, 2022, I sent her contract, on June 3 she made the payment in the amount of $4,500 for consideration.
      8.  ***************** did not execute the contract.
      9.  June 8, 2022, The Architect and the Electrician inspected the property with **************** (Husband).  The Architect explained to the husband that the inspection process is to design everything to scale, to then submit plans with pictures to the structure engineer to draft and calculate the roof and wall addition. This was thoroughly explained to **************** in person, and he agreed.  **************** was also aware that once the Architect and the Electrician stepped into the property the work had commenced.
      10.  The Architect advised the Husband that he could not continue to make changes, until the plans were completed, submitted, and approved by the city. Conveniently, ***************** was not present at the inspection.
      11.  ***************** went on to pay $500 for a survey needed to complete the Architecture plans.
      12.  With that being said.  When a client delivers money for an agreement as collateral on a contract, either verbal (handshake) or executed, a contract is established.
      13.  If ***************** had no intention of using my services, why did she send me the consideration in the amount of $4,500.  And why did she accept the architect inspection with the electrician?  And why did she order the survey on her own?
      14.  What I recall is that ***************** asked a million questions along the way hoping she could do things on her own, in which she did.
      15.  ***************** never sent me an email in due time to cancel the process or requesting her money in return prior to July 25, 2022.  She knew that once the Architect and Electrical individuals entered her property to inspect, the project commenced. She delivered monies to commence a week prior.
      16.  On July 25, 2022, ***************** sent an email to *************************************** to cancel,  conveniently after all the information was related to her by the Architect and structure engineer, so she can make the changes on her own.
      17.  She went on to say that she made all the changes on her own.  She demolished and rebuilt exactly as the information was given to her.
      18.  Everything that she contracted EZ Permits in the initial part of the contract was emailed to *****************.
      19.  Which is her Site plan, Floor plans, Electrical plans and Elevations as promised.

      20.  Again ********************* 1st requested for a refund was on July 25, 2022, after the Architect and Electrical inspection and design was completed.

I have attached supporting documents to this complaint.

If you need further information, please contact me.

      Thank you
