The Beautiful ************ has sold me a mail box that is not beautiful. This mail box includes a defective paint application not capable of lasting a year or two beyond the limited three year warranty which speaks to the companys expectation of poor durability. In this case, the paint splits from the mailbox edges. This company can avoid legal responsibility as per the warranty but it cant run from the court of public opinion. No company, HOA or individual would knowingly buy this substandard product in the future when viewing this companys indifference. I asked the owner to replace the mailbox and I was offered another one discounted. Suggesting I buy the same defect again demonstrates this company is in the business of reselling a product that should work the first time. This speaks to this businesses failing business model and the failure to be reputable Future buyers beware The Beautiful Mailbox Co. name is an oxymoron because this box is anything but beautiful. Its one big rip off.Business response

The Beautiful Mailbox Company has been in contact with the customer filing the complaint. We agreed that we would be out to his home before the end of this week so that we can see the issue personally and arrive at a satisfactory solution.Customer response

Awoke this morning to find a Ryder truck partially blocking my driveway and two men digging up my mailbox. By way of explanation, one of them offered to bring me my mail. I was already put off by the fact that they hadn't bothered to alert me to their presence before tampering with property, and when this guy became insistent that I take the mail from the box even though I was holding my young daughter and had reservations about who they were and what was going on, the situation escalated to raised voices. When I informed him that tampering with mail is a federal offence, he laughed.Things became even more exacerbated when I called the mailbox company. The young woman on the phone was eager to place blame on my neighbors, who had ordered the service, and did not offer an apology until I suggested one would be helpful.Business response

We apologize if you were offended
Your mailbox is a double mounted unit that is shared between your address and your neighbors address.
It was your neighbor ***** that ordered the complete replacement double unit and paid for it to be installed.
We were unaware that your neighbor did not inform you of the purchase.
We had no way of informing you in advance since we were not given your information.
The installer is instructed to transfer any residual mail from the old unit to the new one.
When he saw you he figured it would be the right thing to hand it to you.
There was malicious intent at all.
We will have a discussion with our customer service people.
