I brought my car to this garage to do car alignment on 3/8/2022. It is 2002 ***** ****** but it has been a very reliable car. We replaced a tire a while back and need a alignment because the car is steering to the left side a little bit. I called them about 3 weeks ago and they gave me a quote for 80 over the phone. So I drove all the way from ** **** because they were referred by a ********* ** group friend. They asked me to leave the car there on March 8 because they are too busy. I asked them to give me a quote about the A/C repairs and timing belt when they do the alignment. They called me on 3/9/2022 morning and told me how much it will cost for both timing belt and AC. The timing belt quote was more than double than what we used to pay in ** 4 years ago. So I didn't do either. I arrived at the garage around noon and I paid for alignment and was ready to leave. As soon as I turn on the car, I notice that the engine light was on and the digital clock was flickering. Both issues didn't exist when I drop off the car the day before. I went back to talk to the owner immediately and showed him the problems. He ran a diagnose and told me one of the part was an issue. It was a small part only costs few dollars but it will costs hundreds to put it on. The owner said that the engine light was on when I drop it off but I told him that there was no light on when I drop it off a day before. My friend was in my car recently and she can prove that there was no lights on or flickering o'clock. If there was an issue, I would have asked him to give me a quote to repair since we are preparing a long trip on the car. When I was driving my car back, I also notice that the alignment was done completely. It was still steering to the left. It was better than it was but still steering to the left. I am asking him to refund the alignment cost he charged and paid for the other part replaced at other garage.Business response

**** **** called to ask for pricing on alignment, we’ve gave her the price and she arrived the next day I think and like any of other day we always busy and we must service customers in front of her first, she said because she stay to far away but we have told her that we must respect customers in front of her who has dropped the car off before she came. She left the car and ask us to give price for timing belt and a/c replacement , she was a little disappointed but left the car for us to do alignment, job was done after we test road.
we gave her the price to replace a/a and timing belt she said too much compared to what she has spent 4-5 year ago, we’ve explained to her because back then the car was newer and less miles now it will require more parts to make the job done correctly, she said ok
she came back pay for the alignment, took the key went to her car and immediately came back inside and told us the digital clock is flickering and the check engine light is on. We we out and explain to her that the alignment was done underneath the car not inside behind the dashboard maybe it was like that you haven’t noticed. We ran computer diagnostic and found code ***** means **** heater failure, it needs a new o2 sensor to make it easy for understanding, we explained to her due to the mileage it has 227185 miles it will have this type of problem and all of the connection was good we did not knock anything lose. She ask us to give the price to replace o2 sensor so she can bring it back to get it fix but the shop was so busy that day and customers were waiting so we told her we will call her later for that and she said ok. And she left
We have been serving our community for 20 years and we plan to continue to do so, as a business man we never want to lose or upset our customers, if the job wasn’t done correctly we’ll gladly to make it right, we will show her the alignment done correctly T factory specifications with the latest computerized alignment equipment we can assure to her that if not we will refund the money to herCustomer response
