We have been in contact with ******************************************* previously regarding the ongoing issues with our *****************, Forester camper, which we purchased in January from Campers Inn, in Jacksonville, **. We have reached out to Campers Inn regarding the persistent problem with the ****** bed, and two shades that wont retract correctly. We made appointments each time (giving Campers Inn no less than a week) for repairs. We have several trips planned for the summer months, of which TWO have been cancelled due to the delay in repairs, and we cannot proceed with other plans until this problem is addressed. The recurring issues we've faced since the purchase of the camper in January, including multiple trips (4 trips to date) for repairs at 100+ miles round trip in camper and 2nd vehicle, and ongoing problems with the ****** bed, and the shades being ordered or shipped incorrectly (2 times), have greatly inconvenienced us. Despite making monthly payments of and substantial down payment, rental space for the *** hourly pay to take time off for work, we have not been able to enjoy our camper as intended. It is disheartening to feel as though we've been sold a defective product, that cant get it fixed correctly, especially considering the financial investment we've made. We have been in contact with both ******************************************* and were led to believe most of the blame for our warranty delays was due Forest Rivers incomplete orders. However, in a conversation with their Warranty Manager, *************************, on July 19th, we found out that they are only partially to blame, as Campers Inns warranty or parts department have not ordered the correct parts to begin with. Given our rights under consumer protection laws, we trust Campers Inn will take the necessary steps to address our concerns.

Store management has spoken with Mrs. **** and she has been fully explained the cause along with the resolution. All parts will be arriving tomorrow and Mrs. **** will be picking her camper up on Friday. This should resolve this matter between Campers Inn and Mrs. ****. We look forward to being her RV resource in the future.

We have reached out multiple times to pick the unit up and go over the warranty items they have identified. *** **** stated she bought and financed this unit, unannounced to us, for her daughter to live in. This is by definition a straw purchase which is big no no for the lender. She can address that with her lender. Her daughter is living in the unit full time, also a no no with the manufacturer. We will not play back and forth with both parties. We have communicated again this wee***d with *** **** that we are more than happy to pick up the unit and complete any warranty repairs the manufacturer authorizes. She just states that the RV is her daughers and she doesn't want to be in the middle. Well too bad, she is the owner, that is who we are communicating with. The unit was new, and none of these issues were brought up at delivery or in the subsequent weeks of ownership. When **** **** gets a time and place for us to pick up the unit to complete any necessary repairs, we will oblige.

We Bought our Motorhome on Feb 2, 2023, today is April 1, 2023. Here’s everything that’s happened so far! Upon signing our loan docs the finance manager, ****, made a massive error on our loan docs… to the tune of $8k!!! Told us there was nothing we could do but sign and they would refund us once it all went through. Guess what?! No refund yet! **** has since been fired! The owner of Campers Inn, **** ******, confirmed to us he had been fired and that he never wanted to hire him in the first place! We are still fighting to get our $8k back. Next, our loan docs were not even submitted until two weeks after we had signed them, **** lost them!!!! Next, we do not have our plates or even a temporary plate because Campers Inn never submitted the correct files to the DMV, they also never had the previous owner sign over the title!!! We are still waiting on this! Here’s the real kicker….. when we bought our Motorhome we were told it had a BRAND NEW Turbo and EGR Valve, this was a key selling point to us. Sadly Campers Inn does NOT stand behind their product!!!! Upon delivery we drove the Motorhome back to Texas and then back to Florida, roughly 1900 miles. Guess what happened?!?! The Turbo and EGR valve both failed!!!!! We were shocked!!!! After meeting with **** ******, one of the owners of Campers Inn, we were assured that this problem would be taken care of, his personal diesel surveyor would examine the coach and that Campers Inn was a company of integrity! Well, ****, you are nothing but a liar! After about 12 days in a hotel costing us $300/day and us paying $7300 to the diesel mechanic to fix the issue we are now back on the road!!!!! **** ****** and Campers Inn should be ashamed of themselves for the dishonest and fraudulent business practices they partake in!!! We have since retained legal counsel and have reported them to the Florida State Attorney General. We are also telling EVERYONE we know and reaching out to local news stations to warn others!!!

The client has chosen to try and play this out on social media, so there will be no further contact other than outlined below from Campers Inn.

The client is upset that they had to pay both tax in Florida and Texas. They didn't think it was fair that we charged them Florida tax, as is the law here. No way to argue that, they are just ignorant to the law. They were explained that if there was any overage determined by the state, they would be refunded that balance.

We did miss a signature on the title upon trade in, and that is being corrected as we speak. The client is in possession of a legal temporary plate with ample time before expiration. Of course they were fine with this at the dealership.

We have attached the original bill from *** **** Truck Company in regards to the original rebuild of the Turbo and EGR. The client was shown this upon inspection. The client hired their own RV inspector who gave them the all clear to purchase. We tried to talk them out of buying this unit since we were taking it to a wholesaler due to age and condition. They insisted and hired an inspector to look it over. The inspector and the client were shown this paperwork showing the turbo was rebuilt. Never were they told it was brand new. Not once. The customer was aware, and bought and signed for the unit AS IS, no warranty expressed or implied.

We offered assistance to advocate for them with *** ****, but they refused. *** **** stated to us at Campers Inn that the client caused the turbo to fail, but were willing to give them a $3000 credit to help them out. They took this offer, not Campers Inn.

This issue with the client is closed in the eyes of Campers Inn.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: If they claimed they didn't want to sell the coach, why was it listed online to sell for over a year? Why was a salesman working for Campers Inn allowed to show it? Why did they accept an offer? Why did they allow the process to continue? Why did they hand me the keys? Why did they take my previous coach in on a trade? They had the right to not sell it.

They fail to mention the owner of Campers Inn, ***** ****** said to our faces, verbatim "Campers Inn is the customer of Tom Nehl Trucking" in regard to the second replacement of the failed turbo. Yet they did nothing. A lie to our faces.  Because it was later said there would be no monetary assistance. Which is what we were requesting. Completely opposite the previous statement made by the owner, ***** ******, days earlier.

Lastly, we still have not received the roughly $7500 back on the excess registration costs. It is incorrect for Campers Inn to state were upset that we paid taxes in both Florida and Texas when this excess charge doesn't have anything to do with taxes, per our loan documents. The charge is for vehicle registration. Which is it very clearly written on the loan docs as. Campers Inn is just ignorant of the loan, the same way their finance manager clearly was. As we completely failed the document processing. And in the county I live in Texas the motorhome registration is $545, not $8039 which is what we were charged. Separate from the roughly $6500 in FL state sales tax, which we are obviously fine with and never even raised an issue over. The last update was weeks ago now stating the higher ups are dealing with it. Unfortunately this just isn't sufficient. We have since been paying interest on this excess registration charge with no clue as to why it isn't resolved. The finance manager, **** *******, who handle our loan has since been fired. He completely screwed up the loan with this charge. Either on purpose or through lack of knowledge/training/care.

Finally, it can be assumed based on paperwork and documentation from the vehicle loan that Campers Inn overcharged me roughly $7500. Which has not been repaid it yet. Meanwhile I am paying interest on that financed amount. Secondly, multiple staff at Campers Inn said **** ******* was fired. Likely because of failures in the processing of our loan and/or others. Third, they sold us a coach, admitting in their response to this without having a signed over title from the previous owner. Delaying the plates from being delivered. It is safe to assume based on these facts that the Campers Inn as a business has some serious ethical, moral and potentially illegal business practices starting from the top at the owner, ***** ******, trickling down to even the finance employee. There are multiple clear and obvious major issues with the way this business operates.

      Regards,

      **** *********
