Very stressful experience . I was hesitant to continue with the company due to some of the things I had read but decided to go through with it and hope for the best , please do not make that mistake. This company will try to take advantage of you and if you value truthful business this is not the company for you . I spoke to several people during the process and not one person was on the same page . Information was conflicting coming from every person. I was given a quote based on an inventory and even sent pictures to give a visual of what items would be . I was told that even with those items I had space for more boxes. When the day of the move arrived one of the movers told me their may be an up charge because the inventory list was not updated with what I was wanting to take (mind you I called,emailed and sent pictures to have the inventory list updated) I was expecting an up charge of about ******* dollars based on what the mover said only for him to come back and give me a price that was over ***** more than what I was expecting . This was not ok to me as they were saying my inventory increased by over 80% then decided to now say that it doesnt only go by space it takes up in the truck ,but weight as well(even though the trucks dont get weighed they just input items into a computer ) . I ended up having to move without most of my items due to not agreeing to pay such a outrageous amount . I was told they are not a broker and have their own trucks and sent pictures of their trucks, but the trucks they have are enterprise trucks not even company trucks . This whole process was dishonest , unorganized and seemed like a huge rip off. My items were delivered scratched and delivered by a different set a people not even wearing company gear.They left all the trash from the items they brought and told me I had to take the trash (they made). The only good part was the first set a movers at pickup were nice and understanding. If you value your money please beware.

First I want to admit that I did not use GM Van Lines, however from my interaction with ***** over the phone I would NOT consider using this company.I am moving from N, TN to M, TN and researched moving companies online. ***** called me to inquire about my move. After ***** asked me where I was moving from and to, she abruptly told me that I needed to ****** inState moving companies because GM Van Lines did not handle inState moves. I was completely set back by the statement because I CLEARLY stated where I was moving from and to on each quote request. *****'s tone was short and demanding.I called GM Van Lines to talk with ***** again since she was so abrupt and RUDE. This time ***** was even more impolite and over talked me to only get her point across and hung up on me. So I called again to talk with her supervisor, *****. *****, did at least listened however he tried to explain the licensing is different for out of state moving. I NEVER requested out of state moving.My point is I stated on each QUOTE what I needed and this company called me for a sale. From my interaction with ***** I would not recommend **************************** to "listen" to the needs of a customer for courteous customer service.

I want to report that GM Van Lines is most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. I was lied to by several people in the company about the amount of hours of moving services that I was paying for (I was promised 5 hours over the phone and in an email by their salesperson, and this was confirmed over the phone by their customer service rep). I was also told and emailed that there would be no travel time because the new apartment is in the same complex. Then on the day of the move, the crew ******* stuck paperwork under my sons nose to sign and asked him for the rest of the money (which was paid in cash) before they could start the move. After only 3 hours of the 5 promised, the crew got in their truck and said they were done. I called the customer service rep who confirmed the 5 hours just the evening before, and again at that very moment that they were supposed to provide 5 hours of moving services, then she excused herself and said shed be right back, but instead hung up on me. The moving crew took off from my sons apartment right after that without even saying good-bye. I tried to call the moving company again and got transferred, someone picked up the phone, then hung up on me again. I called again and got voicemail. I was lied to, and my son taken advantage of. Not only that, they didnt wrap a large TV, and cracked the screen so it is now unusable. Be very weary of this company and their in professionalism and lies.

The movers were very careful with our belongings and seemed to like the pizza we gave them.

They made moving to seem easy with their efficient team and helpful guidance.

I wanted a few figurines delivered to my art firm a while back.

Jason and Anthony were fantastic! Right on time. Handled everything with care and professionalism. Great guys. I highly recommend them to everyone.

My coworkers and I agreed, "We had a similar experience here in MS," meaning they were kind and helpful. The furniture was loaded and unloaded with the same degree of care and attention to detail. I couldn't have been happier when I inspected the package and saw it was undamaged.

We had a lot of things in our apartment, so this was no small accomplishment. They were not only kind and polite, but transparent about costs and how to make payments as well. They were also quite useful in terms of moving organization.
