I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Jenkins Hyundai of Leesburg. During a routine maintenance visit for my 2023 Hyundai ********, I was pressured into agreeing to what I believe were unnecessary and costly services, totaling $749.59. The service advisor presented an estimate that included the following high-cost items:A 2-Part Injection System Flush for $199.95 A ********************* for $109.97 A Four-Wheel Alignment for $139.95, despite no prior alignment issues To make matters worse, the estimate misleadingly listed these items as "customer requests" or "customer states," even though I never requested or indicated a need for these services. This misleading language creates a false record of my supposed consent to unnecessary work. When I questioned the need for these services, the advisor claimed the injection system flush was essential to remove gunk from my engine. However, based on Hyundais own maintenance guidelines and advice from other mechanics, these services are not typically required for a vehicle with such low mileage and no performance issues. This leads me to believe the dealership may be recommending unnecessary services to increase their revenue, which is deceptive and ************ a loyal Hyundai customer, I expect better from a certified dealership. I chose Hyundai for its reputation for quality and integrity, and I am saddened to see these values undermined by unethical practices. I urge other customers to be cautious when dealing with this dealership and to question any additional services they recommend.I am sharing my experience here to warn others and to encourage Jenkins Hyundai of Leesburg to uphold ethical and transparent business practices.Review from Muriel J

The customer purchased a ******** deemed the vehicle a lemon. While in buyback customer purchased another vehicle here. Then the next day traded it to another dealership. The buyback was completed and the customer still owes on the first loan. The bank wont release their name of the that first vehicle. We've reached out to no avail.Review from Marilynn P

They stole my money in a car sale.Instead of using my money for a down payment they added it to the price of the car. They misrepresented the buying process. I got none of the three financial agreements made verbally.Beware!!!!!Jenkins Hyundai of Leesburg Response

I’ve been doing business with Jenkins for over 10 years and have bought many cars from them but on a recent purchase the Finance manager tricked you me! I specifically wanted no service contract and definitely wanted gap insurance. He assured me he understood and what I signed the contract. Now, only months later, After being hit by an uninsured motorist, I looked for my contract, which I could not find, and had to ask Jenkins to supply me with one. I was shocked to find that I have a service contract that I never got a car care service plan booklet for so I didn’t even know I had it. And I don’t Have gap insurance! I tried to call the service department to talk to someone but can’t get through, there’s no one to talk to, and no way to leave a message. Very upset and frustrated! I’m going to have to claim bankruptcy if my car is assessed as totaled and I will never buy another car from Jenkins!Jenkins Hyundai of Leesburg Response

Purchased a 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited Hybrid on June 20, 2023. The salesperson failed to show me the additional sticker Jenkins added to the vehicle. On the Jenkins Hyundai web site new vehicles are shown and you can view the sticker on each vehicle. The sticker shows the MSRP for the vehicle. They do not show any additional stickers. The day after I purchased the vehicle, I noticed the car registration and car order form had a different color, VIN and not the MSRP for the car I drove home. I went back into Jenkins the following day and met with the salesperson to address the issue. The salesperson at this time produced the additional sticker. The additional sticker included the following items that were not delivered with the vehicle: Lumar Paint Wrap $1979 Brake Plus $499 Premium Pinstripe $129 (Parts manager told me a pinstripe was complimentary.) All Weather Mats $249 Protection Package $2863 (Not a warranty, some type of sealant for in/outside of vehicle) Total $5719 Had I been shown the additional sticker, I would have asked to not purchase any of these items. If that was not an option, I would not have purchased the vehicle. The following week I provided feedback to the customer service person. Following this, the Jenkins manager left me a message on my cell phone asking how he might address my experience. I returned his call and left him a message and never heard back from him. This was my worst car buying experience in 50 years. More recent experiences were at Acura and Audi dealerships where they don't try and gouge the consumer. I was out of practice dealing with this type of dealer; a costly learning experience for me.Jenkins Hyundai of Leesburg Response

I talked to the Jenkins customer service representative on Friday July 28. She told me she would call me back the following week after talking with her manager but never did. So my issue does not have any resolution.Review from Susanne G

I was ripped off and lied to by Brent in Finance at Jenkins in Leesburg who talked me into buying additional Maintenance coverage on my car. Brent convinced me that the additional cost would cover most everything but things like windshield washer blades and tires and coverage would be for 6 years or 72000 miles. When I went in for my first visit at 7,000 miles, they tried to charge me to rewire the fuses(???), REALLY in 7,000 miles? My car now is three years old with 21,000 miles. They are now saying I need to buy extended warranty again. Because of what Brent told me, I thought that I had already bought extended warranty and was all set for 72,000 miles. I shudder when I think of servicing my car at Jenkins in Leesburg. This is too bad because I have purchased 3 Hyundai vehicles from Jenkins over the years. In the past, I've thought of Jenkins Leesburg as an honest and upstanding dealership. I've changed my mind. Too bad. Now, I'm not sure what kind of coverage I have and where to get service. I've been stewing over this since I paid $1200 for nothing. I feel scammed. I have voiced my displeasure regarding Jenkins on Nextdoor web site and I'm astounded by the many, many responses stating their dissatisfaction with this dealership. Shame on you Jenkins of Leesburg. I would leave zero stars if I could.Jenkins Hyundai of Leesburg Response

Bbb issued a settlement on my car 2 months ago,Jenkins Hyundai of Leesburg received it, then talked it with the dealership where I bought the car from, and as soon as the car was ready, the dealership that I bought it from took it with them. There was never any type of communication between “Tara the sales advisor” and I, because she refused to tell the owner of the car what was going on. Till this day, they got the car, I didn’t got the rental as it was written in the article, and I don’t know what was done with the car because they never followed the settlement, nor helped me at all. I’ve been walking back and forth from work 3 1/2 months now because of this. Ms. Tara “the good sales advisor” needs to be fired, she just wanted me to pay 8,000$ for an engine so she could make the sale and commission, never once cared about the customer. And her boss, Mr. Tony is worse,he said there was no way to know about the car or fix the car and kept denying the fact that the settlement papers were with them. Don’t know what was done to my car, never got the rental, never signed off on the agreement, I don’t know nothing except the fact that I filed a complaint with BBB Auto Line and they took it into they own hands…Jenkins Hyundai of Leesburg Response

This customer came in for service. We submitted a claim to replace their engine and Hyundai did not approve to replace it. We let the customer know and they declined the work to be completed. Browns auto contacted us and said to not contact the customer as they own the vehicle because payments were past due. They would be communicating with the customer. As customer would call in, we would refer them to Browns auto for updates. Work was approved to be done for Browns auto which we completed and they communicated with the customer from there.Review from Shelly K

Buyer Beware! Purchased a vehicle over a month ago and waited over 30 days for plates and registration, (to date I still have no title). Emails and phone calls were made daily to multiple people at the dealership. When I did get through to the dealership I was lied to and given false information on multiple occasions. They are the WORSE. Save yourself the aggravation and go somewhere else.Review from Mickey B

Had a engine replaced[long block] as per Hyundai warranty TQ6 CAMP[ 1/27/23 to 2/6/23] After inspection of camp, and 4 days before new long arrived at dealership, Was asked over the phone by the service adviser if I would like to have the radiator and other hoses replaced and the serpentine belt for no labor cost while doing long block, on 1/28/23 I explained I am a master Hyundai tech, And that I had retired from Hyundai 3 years ago after 27 years with Hyundai, And would install them myself and that I would bring in the receipts from having the vehicle towed, [which Hyundai will reimburse ] in the next few days as the service writer [adviser]] explained he would file to Hyundai for my refund, The next day after thinking about it I told the adviser over the phone to replace them [1/30/23] thinking would cost $100.00 or so made sense, The following day I was to pick up my rental car from Hertz, After I did, I drove over to the the dealership to give Sergio the receipts, and asked by the way what is the cost of replacing those hoses and Serpentine belt, He showed me on his computer screen, $265.00, I said quote, No thanks I'll do them myself, And Jokingly [ [**** ****** **** **** *** * *** *** *** ****** ** **** *********] , S0 after declining the repairs again now 2/01/23 knowing the price, I asked when my vehicle would be done? He said that the engine has not arrived yet, But to give them a couple days from the time the engine gets here and it should be done, This was 2/01/23. Got phone message at 9 am 2/04/23 From another person saying that My service adviser has ask her to call and let me know the vehicle is ready and to pick up the keys and paper work at the cashier's window, Then they trying to charge me $695,00 said it needed spark plugs too, Long blocks come with new spark plugs already installed from Hyundai. Found that out from my old Hyundai dealer. was treated rude ,once I got in my car the glove box was hanging down and the cabin air filter on floor.Customer Response

Basically this was a case of I feel being duped by a service writer/dealer, Being charged for something that was already part of a free warranty camp from Hyundai motor corporation[ aka the spark plugs] .And I wonder how many other people were duped by him/them[ Hyundai motors did there part and I thank them, and Jenkins Hyundai of Leesburg Florida owes me $260.12 for a job not done. I thank them for the free hoses they installed [I declined to have installed and they did them anyway.Review from Robert K

Purchased our 2020 Certified pre-owned Palisade in July 2022. Noticed that the drivers seat cover had some wear spots, I took it in to have it replaced. I was origionally told it was not a covered item...but after advising them I was a retired GM service manager, and I am aware of how warranty items & certified car programs work, I was told they would replace it. Took it in to have it replaced, and the wrong cover was put on. We were called out of town because of a family medical issue, but when I got back, I called them again to have the correct seat cover installed. Took the car back to dealership, and suppossedly the seat cover was replaced. My wife had to head out of state before Ian hit, so I did not really look at the vehicle that well before she left. Once she got back, unfortunately she had picked up a rock crack in the windshield that needed replaced. Took the vehicle to have windshield replaced (at a glass repair company), and when we picked up vehicle, the rear occupancy light was stuck on, and all of our video & audio was not working. Took vehicle to Jenkins, was told that a fuse had blown. Paid $182 to have fuse replaced, and brought to their attention AGAIN that the drivers seat cover was not the correct cover. Was told they would order one. While waiting for that call, we discovered that the microphone for gps, and the phone did not work. Called Jenkins and set up appointment to have them look at it AND replace the seat cover. Took the vehicle in on Dec 5, 2022 and was called later that week stating new head unit was being ordered. I was sent a text on Jan 5, 2023 that car was ready to be picked up. When I picked car up, NOTHING had been done to it. I contacted their customer service person, and suppossedly I was going to get a call the next day to get this all taken care of. Well, here it is 8 days later, and have NEVER gotten a call. I would NEVER recommend Jenkins for ANY type of service!! VERY POOR SERVICE!!!!
