Wescon replaced my roof at the address listed above. The service was completed 2/22/2024. My roof had not had any leaks prior to this. This was simply a replacement. Since the replacement, my roof now has a leak with water leaking into my home. Although they have been contacted several times, they are denying any responsibility. Its very simple. Prior to their work there was no leak. Since their work there is now a leak. Furthermore the house was under contract for sale. Since the leak the buyer has terminated the contract costing me a $380,000 sale. I just want them to take responsilbility and repair what they damaged. They have been paid in full.

Please see photos and video attachment.. We have been in contact with ************ since he told us about his inspection report.

The leak in question is for their porch patio roof. it is not for their main shingle roof dwelling which is the only roof we were contracted for.

We went next day after being told there was a leak. We did a full roof inspection. We have since sent them the below email and are awaiting their reply. We stated that we will do the transition area free of charge, when normally it would be addressed as a changeorder.

Please see our email response sent to homeowners

      Mr.and *************,

We appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention. We understand youve been working with ****, and now ****.

On 03/05/24 **** obtained the inspection results:

Roof Coverings: Active leaking could be seen at the soffit area of the rear patio.Water ponding could be seen at the patio slab. Moisture damaged baseboards, water ponding and saturated carpet were noted at the master closet/toilet room.Due to visible damage, some hidden damage should be expected when repairs are made.

Upon receiving the report, we dispatched our roof technician team to conduct a thorough investigation into the reported leak. Our team inspected the main roof, which was the focus of our contracted work, and we can confirm that it remains watertight.

We discovered that the transition between the main roof and elite panel porch system became unsettled.

In the course of executing the roof replacement for your primary residence, the distinct elite panel porch roof system experienced a disruption. It is essential to note that this occurrence was beyond the team's control and not attributable to any actions that could have been altered. The inherent challenges of the demolition process, involving the removal of the old roof from the primary dwelling, subsequent re-nailing of the deck, and installation of a new shingle system, contributed to the compromise of the porch roof system at its transitions.

As a demonstration of our commitment to customer satisfaction, we will install a main to porch roof transition free of charge. Please note, the transition and porch roof is not covered in our main roof warranty.

We acknowledge your intent to sell the property, and we are fully committed to assisting in resolving this matter.

Please see attached video showing the water intrusion area between the main roof structure and porch roof.

With your permission, we will install the transition ASAP.

      Thank you,
      Wescon Construction

On March 14th, we were visited on-site by *****, a friend of the owner.

We took the initiative to address the transition from the main roof (which was part of our contracted project) to their porch (which was not part of the contract) by installing a seam tape transition.

We performed this repair pro ****, and all parties present agreed that the issue was not stemming from a roof leak.

Given that the owners reside out of state and were not present at the site, they were unable to witness the repair firsthand.

Subsequent to installation, the repaired area underwent rigorous water testing, which confirmed the absence of any leaks.

We kindly request that any online complaints related to this matter be retracted and closed.

Our company consistently stands by the quality of our workmanship, and we prioritize customer satisfaction. Despite this particular issue not originating from our work, we took it upon ourselves to rectify the situation, even at the expense of our profits.
