I gave 3000$ deposit for my apartment at Riverhouse. Before I left I asked them if I owe anything and they told me no. I picked up my deposit check and it was only 2000$. They told me that it was late fee that I never paid which i specifically asked ***************************** last year on December to take care of it. It was from previous property manager that was giving me their promises by words and never done anything and got fired. she asked me if I have proof or emails. I told her that I have emails from myself during those dates and always got promises by words and no answer. she said she will take care of it but need to investigate. i was going to her office everyday but she was always telling me "i will do it today" but nothing was done ! A week before i leave i put pressure on her and I told her that I need to have this situation before my moving out on Feb 4. I was at her office and she said it's done. The day of my moving I asked her assistant ****** while giving my keys if I owe anything and he told me " NO She took care of everything". when I received my deposit and I asked him over the phone what going one ? He did not know how to answer at first and was telling me that it was for the 4 days of February. I repeat myself several times and told him that 4 days does not cost 1000$. He sent me a document via mail while being on the phone and told me that he did not know for the late fee that Marinee was supposed to remove. This was a lie because from December to February I have been going to his office back and forth for answer because she was always busy ! He told me to send an email to her directly. Which I did. She start at first playing like she was not aware when she was totally aware because i made this a big deal since December. She even asked me if I cashed my check because she was willing to do a new one. She knew she messed up. Now I'm still fighting to get the rest of my deposit,
