  08/22/23 Sealy Trinbago *** ,(Albert Sealy) contracted to repair our condominium flat roof.On October 19, 23, $1000.00 deposit was given. After collecting the funds, and we waited awhile ** ******************** was contacted and he stated he had difficulty pulling the permits. ** ******************** went to ***************** to **** the permits and was advise by the condo association that the permits needed to be pulled in ************. Checked with Palmetto Pay permitting department and still no permits pulled. Several phone calls and emails was sent to ** ******************** and the office and he did not respond, other condo board members also attempted to call and had no response. The dates of contact with no response are as follow: 12/7/2023, 12/8/2023, 12/29/2023, 1/17/2024, 2/23/24, On 2/23/24 received an email with the following words "PERMIT IN BUILDING FOR Review" on March, April 29, received an email from the roofer stating that "Albert has recently gotten through with the system for the flat roof and he wants you to know that he could start the roof any day now" On June 26th 2024, Received an email from the roofing company that stated "we would like to update you on your roof repair job at ****************************************, We have bought all the needed materials for that job and would like to begin this week".June 26th, 24 ,Called Palmetto Bay Permitting Department to see if a permit was pulled, they said yes but only for ******************* and that we still need permits for 9110, ********* ( as this is 1 Roof). ****************************** (***********************) was sent an email that ** ******************** has not communicated with the condominium Association in months in reference to a leaking roof replacement, he has not answered any emails or calls and that ** ******************** Abandon the Job. ** ********************, tried to cover his tracks by pulling one permit instead of four.How can you replace a part of a roof when the entire roof is one ?** ******************** needs to return $1000.00 (one thousand dollars and close the open permit).

  My name is ******************* and I am 87 years old black woman who lives in *******************. I have lived in Miami Dade County most of my life.I am a Victim of ELDERLY Exploitation FS ******** I reached out to a ***************** Business man Albert Sealy who owns Sealy *********** to repair the roof on a property I own. He gave me an estimate of $12, ******. I agreed to the price and a contract was PROVIDED in October of 2022.He was given 2 Deposits, that totaled $7,500.00. Once the deposits were given He changed the Estimate to an amount that I could not afford. I respectfully requested my deposit be returned. To date that has not occurred.As a Leader in our community, Local Businesses that take Advantage of the Elderly should not be allowed to operate in Dade county. I call it the Bait and Switch. You BAIT the Elderly with one price and then after you obtain the deposit, you SWITCH it to another price. I am begging you to help. If he did it to me, who knows how many other Elderly citizens of Dade County he has done this to.LETS STOP BUSINESS THAT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE ELDERLY!!

  Hi,
      In my attempt to do right to protect the lives and safety of human beings, uphold the standards of the **************** Building Codes this is what i'm facing and it's with utter disgust i have to face the music of folks making every attempt exhausting and using all and every avenue in bulling me for their own monetary selfish gains.
  I informed them of the condition of that rotten down property but they wanted me to cut corners to do the roof without the right permits in place and i wasn't going for that because i'm licensed to cover both the Roofing and the Residential permit but they won't pay and i'm not going to put lives at risk by doing shady stuff.
  
  
   By the way i don't have any signed contract with **** **************************** it's with ********************** instead who is not a senior citizen but i don't know if it makes a difference anyway.
  
  
  FYI- "BSS case 20230220210-B has been opened for repairs and replacement of roofing rafters; new windows and doors; and a rear detached structure."

  I am rejecting this response because:

   

  First of all the contract was in my name ******************* ( the homeowner) all permits were pulled under my name, ******************* the home owner. The payment made was from my bank account ******************* .
  ********************* is my daughter. She is 74 years old and also gualifys as a senior citizen. 
  
  
  Now that I have clarified that information, I would like to address the rest.
  
  
  Mr. ******************** said all these things were wrong with my property, that is fine and I am not saying it is not true, but what he does not address is how he tried to EXPLOIT me as a senior citizen.
  
  
  The things he is saying about my property should have been Said Before he took my $7,500. He came to my home and lied and said he could do the job for $12,500. AFTER he received my money, he changed the price to $******.
  
  
  If he has been in the business for 20 years and  have so much experience he could not tell what was needed on my roof prior to taking my money?
  
  
  He intended to de fraud me from the beginning.
  
  
  Stop deflating from what the real issue Is. You took **** and then changed the price to ******. I advised I no longer wanted him to do the job and he refused to give me my money back. He also lied and said he left materials on my property but I have an affidavit from two eye witness stating otherwise.
  
  
  The video he has of my property was obtained illegally. He came on my property without my consent after he  was let go. A police investigation is currently pending 
  
  
  In addition, I have tried to handle this as a civil matter but Mr. ******************** has gone into hiding and refuses to go to any of the so call addresses that are listed as his business.
  
  
  He has no Real location, his business has no Real or Physical location, the checks he took from me were cashed at a Check Cashing Store.
  
  
  Please consumers don't get side track by this man. He can't be trusted. If he feel he was wrong why is he hiding so that he can't be served?
  
  Two days ago I had a friend call and ask for an estimate, ( just to see what he would say) he told her to give him the address and he would send her an invoice and she would have to pay him upfront. He never even agreed to come in person. He said he was an expert and could figure it out from the address.

  Mr. Sealy indicated that the case was resolved. That is incorrect.

  
  

  We went to court and met with a arbitrator and agreed on an amount that he had to pay in 20 days.

  
  

  Needless to say, the 20 days came and he never paid. An affidavit of non compliance had to be done so a final judgment could be made.

  
  

  Please I beg you don't let him do this to anyone else. This man is a fraud and his sole intention when we met was to defraud me.

  A ******** check was made out and mailed to ******************* but there was a mistake with the address. so the check has to be returned. Once the check is returned the check will be going to my attorney instead.

  I am rejecting this response because:

  The check was never supposed to have been mailed to ******************* it was supposed to have gone to the **************** By doing that he was already in Contempt of Court. I called **** of America and they stated a cashier's check is the most easiest way to commit a fraud. He had a check made out and then went right back to the same bank and had the cashier's check cancel saying it went to the incorrect address. Please save the lies, fraud and deceit for someone else because we don't buy any of it. There is something to be said about someone who preys on the Elderly. Besides, at this point we already submitted the affidavit to the court and the only thing pending is a Final Judgment against YOU!
