I contracted AMVA Construction LLC to complete work after hurricane *** on 1-5-2023. My major complaint is the floors are not stable. My 90 year old mother fell and had to be placed in a nursing home because of her injuries. I also fell and I had a contractor in my home and he almost fell in the same spot. The lower cabinets in the kitchen are not the right size for the dishwasher to fit properly, mirror door in dining room are not installed properly. On August 17, 2023 I hired Proflooz LLC (***********************) to remove all the floors in the bedroom and master bathroom the most dangerous areas where my mother and I fell. *********************** found trash under the floors when he removed the floors installed by AMVA Construction LLC. ***** also said that the floors hadn't been leveled and properly prepped for installation. The living room, dining room and kitchen floors need to be taken up and redone. I would like a full refund for my floors, lower kitchen cabinets, pocket doors, mirror door installation.Cost for floors, cabinets, pocket doors, and out of pocket for repairs is $11,357.76 plus $900 city requirements. Total $12,257.76 AMVA Construction didn't pull a city permit, and they use *************************** license ************ of *************** Solutions when I asked for a copy of their license. They charged $900 to me per city and they didn't get a permit. Good Afternoon,
We did not charge a fee City fee as you can see in the Invoice, We did Install Moisture Barrier per City Code, we did not pull a permit because she did not want a permit pull, city at the time was allowing residents to install drywall back in their home due to no Interior Modifications were done.
as for the Slider doors installation, we did that as a courtesy is not in the invoice, and we advice her that the company that demo (surpro) her apartment had lost the bottom rail.
Also we did not Do any work in the bathroom shower as she had attached a Re caulking in her shower.
as for the kitchen lower cabinet were done to the same size of her original drawers as she did not change doors she used her old ones. once the apartment was completed back in January 2023, she inspected and agree to the work been done.
as for the floor installation customer was advice that the flooring installation should require additional process. due to the floor having tile and she not want to remove because of additional expenses. Her Response was that she can not spend any more money because her husband had just passed away. and the original floor was also installed like that.
In regards to the license we advice her that we as ********************** have Liability and Workers Com. and that we also work for Green tech in the event she wanted a permit pulled.
we work in other units in the building without a problem.
Note: This customer also wanted money from use for referring other Tenant in the building, so her work could be free.
we work in the area for over 8 month helping Customers after the hurricane and had no issues.
Thank you

I am rejecting this response because:
My floors are not safe, and I paid extra money for the floors. They never said anything about putting a subfloor underneath to make the installation level. Furthermore when I remove the bedroom and master bathroom floors, there was trash underneath where the floors were not sweep or cleaned! I found cardboard underneath the work done by AMVA! This was their way of leveling the floors. I have paid to do what was urgent, but I still need to have the rest of my condo done!Sincerely,
