On March 11, 2022 **** and Sons Metal Corp was contracted to do an electronic metal fence with panels for my property, although he dated the contract 3/12/2022. He sternly insisted on a $8275.00 deposit prior to any permits being pulled. He said through his daughter since his english is limited that that's the way he does business. He then suggested I do the gate without permits to which I expressed that I had no interest in. My home's construction is all permitted there's no need to start doing anything illegal. I asked him a few times if engineering was included in the price, he said yes which I thought great, because all the contractors I consulted with prior all said engineering was necessary and some charged a separate fee. He reassured that it was inclusive and noted that the permit would be a separate charge. After starting the process at the city he reneged on what he said prior and asked for $**** extra for engineering. A disagreement ensued until I decided to get on with the process we both go half, He only offered to pay $500 towards the ****. I obliged in order to quell the arguing, but decided to hire my own engineers for $1400. He started giving the engineers a very hard time inadequate drawings, limited info, wrong measurements and continuously blamed and badmouth them when the city kept disapproving and asked for revisions, this delayed the project a lot. He finally sent me pics of the fence he ordered and it was completely different from the style we agreed on. There's text messages, witnesses, and his own sketch on the contract of the style fence to prove what I ordered, I told him that would not work. He insisted that it would look different in person, and it's already a done deal, to come see it in person. He eventually did a facetime and had the fence hidden between other fences, I even sent someone on my behalf and it was still the wrong fence. I asked for my money back and hired a lawyer, he's refusing. to pay or cooperate.
