I began speaking with *******, owner at Speedway Vintage Cycles in January of 2022 about a restoration on my 1973 Kawasaki 900. He stated he could provide a ground up museum quality restoration. He required $3000 down and as it progressed he would contact me for more money for parts and labor. I agreed to send $10,500 down and he agreed to "fast track it" and would put his people on it immediately. On 4/12/22 ********************** (******************************* *******, ******* *****; phone ************; email ************************* picked up my 1973 Kawasaki Z1-900 bike with engine in a crate and a second crate with carburetors, extra rare original cylinders, and multiple new parts for the bike. I sent a cashiers check for $10,000 on 4/1/22 and another cashiers check for $500 on 4/2/22. On 4/28/22 I also sent a brand new fuel tank, tail fin and side covers totaling $1300. I called the business numerous times with no answer. There was no updates, pictures or further communication from *******. On 11/28/22 I emailed him asking for an update he stated he was out of the shop and would update on the following Monday but that did not occur. Another email was sent 6/23/23 with a response on 7/3/23 showing a parts list with a total of $3616.03. I sent another cashiers check for $4000 on 7/5/23 to cover the invoice. Still no communication over the phone or pictures with any updates. on 2/18/24 and 2/24/24 I sent more emails asking for updates and pictures of the progress with no return calls or email to date.
