Great company, professional and easy to deal with. Large enough to have a large selection of containers and services, yet small enough to get personalized service and integrity. Both **** and ****** were outstanding to deal with. They quoted me the best price and offered same day or next day service, my choice! Everything went great. I was able to visit their location and hand pick the unit I wanted and it was delivered the following morning as promised. *******, the delivery driver could not have been more experienced or professional. He was able to navigate a narrow 200' driveway tunnel of oak trees and place the container exactly where I wanted it in a swampy pasture without getting stuck or leaving ruts. He had a brand new 4x4 diesel dually with a new tilt trailer. Due to my mistake, he had to off load the container in the front yard and pick it back up so the doors would face the proper direction. He happily did this without any sign of grief.I decided to go with this company as most of the competitors pretended to be local but were actually national brokers with an average 2 week delivery time and you get what ever shows up, regardless of color or condition. The ******** location was close enough for me to deal in person and guaranty quality, color, and next day delivery. Outstanding experience and will definitely recommend and use them again.************

I recently contacted South Florida Intermodal Equipment to purchase a 20' container for my home in Florida. After quoting a price, the following is a direct quote from the salesman's email to me;

"Thank you for your Inquiry. I can offer you a 20 foot container delivered to the Port Charlotte area for $3450. This is for a good cargo worthy unit with no leaks. If you can find a better deal let me know. I'm willing to beat any competitor's price in Florida. I look forward to hearing from you."

I did my homework and found TWO better offers, one form Western Container and one from Conex Depot. I forwarded this information back to the salesman and got the following response;

"Those are brokers we don't match or beat there prices "

After reading this response I thought, obviously this salesman does not understand the implication he made that he would match or beat ANY COMPETITORS price. There was no mention or qualifiers as to who the competition might be.

I responded to him indicating that I was very disappointed with his response and felt it was very deceiving. There were two separate follow up emails from him as follows;

1: "Go with Western containers. We are not the same, thank you for your Inquiry."

2: "On another note. These are not Florida Companies. These are out of State brokers."

So I leave it to you. "Any competitor" now seems to have several caveats attached to it and seems to go against my understanding of the original statement. I hate deception and one would think that the salesman and the company would honor their statement and then make any changes to their policies after the fact. But this is not the case. Containers are available from many sources, but in the mind of South Florida Intermodal Equipment, they are not competitors.... for a litany of reasons... which they seem to add at their convenience.
