As long-time customers of SecureOne Protection Services for much of the past 30 years, with residential burglar/intrusion alarm services, we had largely been satisfied with their services. Around March 2021, SecureOne determined that their installed alarm equipment in our home was no longer able to communicate with their Monitoring Center. In a call from someone identifying himself as a SecureOne co-owner around that time, I was advised that the only way to solve the problem and to resume their alarm monitoring services would be for our payment of a significant cost to have the SecureOne installed alarm equipment upgraded to a higher level, which they assumed would make it again workable. These charges were in addition to what they described as an increased monthly fee for their services! We determined against making any such expenditures. Because SecureOne advised they were unable/unwilling to resume the monitoring services without our payment of these additional charges, alarm monitoring services were never restored by SecureOne. Since then, we continue to receive quarterly billings for alarm services which are no longer being provided, many of these include charges for each of the succeeding months/quarters (with no services at all provided) & marked "Past Due". We also receive repeated phone calls & requests for written cancellation notice, which we had already provided in writing in November 2021 (see the attached copy of our letter) . As noted in our letter to SecureOne in November 2021 (and as advised by SecureOne staff member Lauren in a phone call in September 2021), we requested cancellation effective March 2021, when it was determined that SecureOne was no longer providing monitoring services. Despite our written cancellation request, the billings and phone calls have continued. Such repeated billings for services not rendered, as well as repeated demands for written cancellation notices already provided may be seen as harassment. --***** ******
