  My mother was a patient at Jackson Health System North around September 28, 2023. The emergency room staff was pretty good overall. My mother, whos in her 90s, kept her in a bed in the hallway, not an emergency bedroom, because it was packed at the beginning, but when a room was open, they kept her in the empty, cold hallway. In the emergency room, I was waiting for the admission staff to give my contact information so they could contact me in case any questions arose about my mother, but no one came, so I had to leave it with an emergency room nurse. They told me someone would come from admission but never did at all. On the floor days later, my mother's case manager told me the doctor would release my mother. They went over things to do and look out for; she told me she would have home care, and I asked for physical therapy, but when my mother was finally released, the home care agency contacted me. They informed me the case manager didnt include physical therapy and tried to get the case manager or my mother's provider doctor to write up a referral for physical therapy. I contacted the case manager, and she apologized. The day they tried to release my mother, my mother informed the nurses she hadnt had a bowel movement at all since she was in the hospital, so when I told the nurse they had to contact the doctor, they gave my mother something to make her have a bowel movement. The nurse assistant put a pan under my mother's bed, and when my mother was done, she took it; when my mother needed it again, she told my mother in front of me to do it in the bed. My mother had a catheter and needed a bed pan again, but the nurse assistant refused, and my mother had another bowel movement in the bed. I made a complaint. The whole time my mother was at this hospital, they never helped her out of the bed to walk or gave her a ******. They kept her in bed for the days she was a patient at the hospital with no Physical Therapy or someone to walk
