Safety Concerns There have been serious safety issues, including a break-in where someone entered my apartment and took my mothers dog. I had to involve law enforcement and file a police report. Additionally, a neighbor down the hall also experienced a break-in, making me feel unsafe in my own home.Package Theft Ive had ongoing issues with stolen or lost packages. Despite filing multiple complaints and police reports, the problem has not been resolved.Maintenance Problems There were delays in addressing maintenance issues, such as the incorrect installation of an ethernet port, which took four months to resolve. I also faced recurring thermostat malfunctions, leading to excessively high electric bills and multiple thermostat replacements. I had to dispute charges with *********** due to incorrect readings.Trash Collection Issues My trash went uncollected for four months despite following all policies. I observed and recorded the trash collector mishandling my garbage, contributing to mold, a pest problem, and even hospitalization.Noise, Odors, and Parking Issues Noise levels from the apartment below have been unbearable, and Im wrongly blamed for it. The smell of marijuana is constant and disruptive. Additionally, the parking situation has become chaotic, with residents parking in spots reserved for others.Given these unresolved issues, I am requesting a waiver of any penalties for early termination due to the severity of the circumstances.Initial Complaint

Fore Property Company is the corporate office. The property name wasn't listed in the search. I am an applicant who applied for an apartment with ************************** in *************, ** on November 1, 2023. Upon completing the application I was told that the qualification process would only take 48 hours to process, and I was told that I only needed pay stubs for income verification. A day after I submitted my application I was contacted via email by an assistant manager to upload my bank statements. I replied back to the manager asking why, no response. Therefore, I gave my bank statements. The following day I was asked to provide proof that I was the owner on my business bank. I then felt that wasnt an apprioate thing to ask because that had nothing to do with *********** showing in my bank account. After providing my bank statement I was then asked to provide my employers name and number for the management can call to verify that I had two jobs. So I did. Well the office called only one job to NOT ask about my pay but to interrogate my employer with other questions. By this time a week has went by and the office has been out of the 48 hour window to let me know if I was approved or denied. I then asked management if my background and credit came back clear and I was told that was based on my income. I also received a voicemail stating that I needed for my employers to send a document to their office to verify employment. However, this is when I felt the office had gone too far!Over all I felt this office was posting a discriminatory look towards me. By asking for more information than they needed, not contacting both jobs, and not allowing my process to be like everyone else. I feel this way because Im a African American plays a role in this property decision making. I then reached out via email to the regional manager to complain about how the office was handling my application. She replied back to cover the behavior and their actions of the team at The Overlook at Lake ****** I also have requested to be refunded my admission fee for $300. I have been told verbally that the monies are not refundable. However, NO refund policy is not listed on the company webstie nor on any documents that was provided to me. Im writing to the Better Business Bueara to investigate this company Fore Property Company(corporate) /The Overlook at Lake ***** on: mishandling applicants with fair processing, not being truthful about admission refunds, etc.I also felt that this property was investing me rather than handling my application in a fair manner. Again I felt this property put me in a discriminatory category. As, I no longer would like to live in a community such as, and only would like my admission fee for $300 refunded to me asap. We require documentation that confirms ownership of the account, such as proof of business, if you choose to use bank statements.
