4pm on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024, I received a doorbell ring at my front door. It was ***********************, an employee soliciting from JAC Builders Roofing. (This was the 4th time he had rang my doorbell and hung flyers on my door in the last month. ****** told me that it appeared that I had an old roof with maybe some discoverable damage from a storm in January, almost 7 months ago. **** and another JAC employee were very pushy and almost demanded to get on my roof to further inspect. I notified them that my HOA has strict NO SOLICITING signs posted at the entry gate. ****** said that they werent soliciting, but instead were offering a free estimate for services and that they would submit payment for those services through my homeowners insurance company so that it would all be free for me. They asked me for my name and who my homeowners insurance was through. I lied to ****** and said my name was *****, and I was using State Farm. After speaking with the 2 men for a few minutes, I told them I was not interested and they kept asking to do the inspection. I finally told them that I was going to report them and to leave the neighborhood. They were very upset and began using profanity as they left. I called the number on the flyer they had put on my door to complain, not realizing that the number was ***********************, the solicitor that I had just had the issue with. He cursed me out and hung up. Later that night, I began receivingno caller idprank phone calls. Which I knew they were from *********************** from JAC Builders Roofing, as he referred to me by the fake name ************ had given him while he was at my home soliciting. Then the next morning I began receiving multiple texts and phone calls from random roofing companiesfollowing up on a home advisors Angies list request for roofing services.Again I knew that this was because of ***********************, as the companies were using the fake name ***** and the wrong homeowners company StateFarm that I had given to **** while soliciting.

************** is not a customer of **********************.  Presumably upset about the high volume of construction in his neighborhood, He called one of our representatives to come to his home to inspect his roof for storm damage. Since then, the ********** and this ***** direct cell phone have received numerous phone calls and threatening voicemails.  Our legal team has been in contact with local Law enforcement and in the process of taking action to prevent ************** from threatening our teams and job sites and therefore can only divulge surface-level information.  It is our understanding that ************** has not been contacted by any team members or partners of JAC Builders.

      Mr ******,

We sincerely apologize for the confusion regarding our marketing team posting our "Free Inspection" door hangers in your neighborhood. We have been told by several other homeowners in the neighborhood this practice was approved and not considered soliciting. We have several customers and construction projects going on in the neighborhood and want to make sure we are not violating any rules when marketing in the area. Is there a specific HOA contact we can reach out to?
