I contacted this business because they were the subcontractor used by my house's builder to install shower doors. Less than 2 years after the shower doors were installed, they were falling out due to poor craftsmanship when initially installing the doors. I spoke with Ryan, who is reportedly a salesman for this company. He came to my house to visualize the requested work and quoted me at $250 per shower door (there were 2 total, total charge $500). This price was quote for removal of the each door, cleaning of the each door, re-installation of each door, and rebalancing of each removed door against the swinging door. Ryan told me that each door would cost $250 due to an estimated 1.5 hours of labor for each door. I agreed to this price and the work described. Two gentleman came to my house to perform the work. From the time the arrived until the time they left, they were here ~45 minutes. That includes introductions, showing them the doors, work being performed, and showing them out. They did not remove either door. They did not clean either door. They simply re-glued the doors back in. The two gentlemen were nice and from what I can tell, performed the work adequately so that the doors will not fall out again, hopefully for more than two years. However, their labor was not nearly 1.5 hours per door. Ryan then called me a few days later to settle the account; he still wanted $500 despite the work being performed in ~45 minutes instead of 3 hours. Yes, I understand two people came so let's call it 1.5 hours of labor if you include them walking into my house and walking out of my house. Still; the labor was significantly less than what was quoted, and the work that was actually performed was not what was initially quoted. Ryan would not budge. He notified me then that the majority of the charge was due to 'insurance' on the work, which I was told was good for 1 year. I have not receive a written warranty to date. If the work is quality, why do I need insurance?
