I was turned away by Budget car rental after already making a deposit and purchase because I didn't have a physical credit card on me at the time of pickup. I was then redirected to this company from the airport. They set me up with a car rental without a credit card and saved my trip. The car was a ****** Corolla and it was a nice car. We returned the car without incident and came home. We were told that shortly after return that our deposit would come back minus the $50 in tolls we took. Fine. It has now been almost 3 weeks since the deposit was made and 2 weeks since the cars return. I have contacted inbocars once already and was told that my deposit was released back to my account. My bank says otherwise. The amount has been pending in my account for the full 3 weeks and my bank tells me that they haven't returned my deposit. So someone is not telling me the truth and I want my deposit back! I just tried calling again only to be met with a Spanish only voice menu and someone texting me. But surprise surprise, after I tell them I'm trying to get my deposit back, they ghost me. This company tries to look like they're saving you but they only take advantage of you. Very shady. If I get my deposit back, I'll change this review, but a whole month of holding someone's deposit is crazy. The deposit was $200 minus tolls and the full amount was $551.84

On May 25th I travelled to ******* for wedding and I made a car rental booking on booking.com for a ***** CR-V at ********. I viewed the voucher and it said that I would be charged a $300 deposit fee at the rental. It also said I could use my insurance, purchase additional insurance from them and or use my credit card coverage as insurance. I paid $71 for 3 days at booking.com. When I got to the rental place I was told that I could Not use my personal insurance or my credit card and that I had to buy the insurance they provided. I was not happy about having to pay $200 more (that is what I was told the insurance would cost) but I was running late for a wedding and decided to just buy the insurance. The agent said they would charge $300 deposit and $200 for the insurance. I believed he was saying the truth since that is what I read in the voucher and I made the mistake of signing the agreement without verifying the details like I was being told. I saw a charge for $511 on my card and thought it was ok because it was the 300 deposit and 200 insurance. Now I got home and I see a charge for $311 on my card. I already paid $71 to booking.com and in total they charge me $386. This was suppose to be a $71 rental but they changed everything upon my arrival. I am very upset that they are tricking customers into doing business with them, only to rip them off afterwards. I want the extra $100 they charge me back. Please find attached the rental voucher and the rental agreement. They are deceitful and they are tricking people. They don't answer the phone or texts. Please help!*************************

We rented a car for May 8th to May 15th, 2024. The rental voucher said insurance through a 3rd party, such as a credit card company, was included in the price. We have full coverage insurance, including coverage for non-owned vehicles through State Farm, PLUS we have coverage through the credit card my husband attempted to use for the rental. Once at the office, Inbocars informed us that we would have to pay $40 PER DAY to use our own insurance. Even if they did require us to purchase their insurance, the agreement states it is $35.99 PER RENTAL. They also claimed it was MANDATORY to buy a toll pass, even though we have our GPS set to avoid all tolls. We refused to pay the extra fees, and they refused to refund the money, saying our booking was non-refundable. Bait and switch! And they also have stickers all over their windows and doors claiming BBB accreditation, but they are obviously not accredited.

DO NOT RENT... DO NOT RENT... from Inbocars! I booked a rental car because it seem like a reasonable deal considering the current rental car climate in *******, **. It was about $30/day through an online rental agency and that seemed fairly reasonable. I get to the offsite rental car office at midnight and are told by ***** (the Manager) that there is MANDATORY insurance at $35/day and MANDATORY Sunpass activation at $15/day (plus tolls). I told her that's an extra $50/day and that's going to make it triple what I expected to pay. She looked at me like she does not care whatsoever. It's midnight, I have phenomenal insurance, and I'm 50 years old... I don't want your extra insurance but it was forced upon me if I didn't want to be kicked out on the street at midnight with my wife and all of her luggage going to ************ for the first time. It was a horrible way to start a vacation. It was actually pretty interesting once I finally relented and told her that I need to take the car, I looked at her with empathy and confirmed "This happens all the time, doesn't it?" She said it does. All... The... Time...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't make the same mistake that I did. Go somewhere else if you don't want to pay triple what you expected to pay.

I booked an intermediate size car with Inbocar rentals located in ******* ** from Jan 13 - 17, ****. I used my credit card with insurance coverage up to $250,000 for damage waiver (DW) and other forms of damages. When I went to pick the car, I was offered a different car with all sorts of hidden fees. When I declined the insurance offered by INBOcar, they told me I will have to pay $12.99 per day (for five day) to ACTIVATE the use of my own insurance on their vehicle. I had already paid a nonrefundable fee online. I could not verify the legality of the fee on the spot and I was afraid the people in rentals could come and damage the car where I park it at the hotel I am staying. The vehicle they gave is a 2023 Camry with just ****** mileage and the WINDSHIELD is cracked. They have a tracker on the car because they warned me not drive it our of state. When I went back to check details online where I booked, I realized they provided an option for me to use my own insurance without a mention of the activation fee; and also, the **************** does not allow them to charge activation fee - it is an illegal fee to force their customer to use their own insurance.I want the sum of $14.99 x 5 = $59.96 that paid for insurance I do not need refunded. They also overcharged me. The receipt says the total cost to pay at the office is $223.82, when I got the alert from my credit card, I was charged $232.77. They had charged $71.96 when I first booked. This makes the total I paid them $304.73.This company have bad reviews that I did not catch before getting into their trap. The have a lot of hidden fees that are not provided at the time of booking. Multiple customers relayed similar experience. This needs to be addressed by the power that be in *************.

A rep from **** car rental recommended me this place. The AVIS rep spoke to them over the phone and provided a price. After I was picked up by the company the price went up 200 dollars. I was able to negotiate with the rep at Inbo. The rep at Inbo took videos of the rental prior to me getting in it. I drove to my family home which is on the same street as the car rental place (5 miles). The next morning I got in the vehicle a light came on saying needing maintenance. I contacted Inbo immediately. The women rep stated it is fine. We will take the car to shop when you return it. Two minutes later when I got on the highway the tire blew. I called Inbo back. She told me I had to change the tire on 528 which is a busy highway in Florida. Also no tools in the vehicle to change it. They refused to come help me until I expressed it would be a liability if something happened to me on this highway. A week later 9/19 they changed me 150 for the tire and changing of the vehicle without discussing anything with me.

I booked a car rental through ******* Travel with Inbocars. I prepaid for the rental through ******** Travel and it said there was 0 due at pick up. The rental was from 5/4/23 through 5/7/23. I expected that they would require a deposit of some kind, no problem. We get to the rental agency, which is off site, and the agent tells me I owe them 261.81 for the rental. I explain that i initially prepaid for the rental a total of 81.95 and that zero was due at the counter. She said I only reserved the car that no payment had been made. She also slapped me with a “non optional” insurance, which I already explained to her that I had coverage under my ******* card and I didn’t need nor want. I was told that if I didn’t pay the 261.81 we weren’t getting the car nor are we getting a ride back to the airport. She said I could dispute the charge at a later time. So basically I’m held hostage at the rental agency. Then a couple of days later I’m hit with a 40 dollar charge with no explanation . This company has deceptive billing practices and are scammers. Anything less than a full refund of 261.81 and the 40.00 dollars is unacceptable. I also have an email from ******** travel stating that inbocars recognize they billed me erroneously and will be issuing a refund of which they have not to this date.
