I have paid this company to remodel a bathroom 7x8ft. They required payment in full $16,925 ( initially when I sent them the photos of the bathroom as well as wish pics from their site - I was quoted 10k-12k total-that was not true They have received $12,693.75 on 8/8/22 upon signing the agreement. I initially liked their showroom, and believed them that the work will start in two weeks after the payment was received on 8-8-22. The dates of demolition as well as the work schedule in general started changing, every time I called them they were rude and unwilling to answer my questions. They were constantly defensive and offensive in our interactions. on 9-14-22 due to my constant complaints re/ their customer service and constant delays, and demands to speak to someone in charge or the owner (which they attempt to hide )- Henry L** (who initially came to the house to make measurements) contacted me and agreed to amend the initial agreement and divide payments to 2k paid on 9-14-22 (which was paid) and the rest of the 2k will be paid after the shower glass door is fabricated and ready to be installed. They also said that they will not be removing one of the walls -therefore they will deduct $500.00 off $2000.00 balance for the shower glass door, which brings the balance down to 1,500.00 After multiple failed attempts to get the rest of elements of the bathroom to get finished, such as attempting to get them to come in and provide door Frame measurements(as they owe us doors installation) -they provided generalist answers, I have decided to share my story and experience in one of my reviews. Immediately they contacted me and started threatening that I should remove my review or else they will not finish the work, then they said I did not pay the balance due--but yet they have never informed me previously that the door frame was ready to be installed. Today they changed the balance due to $1,731.25-without any prior agreement. the bathroom is still unfinished

      Business response

      12/22/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/11/14) */ We have everything written in a legal contract, in which all the details and requirements were laid out beforehand. Initial estimates are just that, an estimate. We cannot provide anyone final price until measurements of the areas are done, in which after measuring we provided the customer the final price. We provided the customer with exact dates of when we would start the project, and customer was in agreement. However it was the customer's fault for any delays to have happened. In the contract it was started that the customer would provide all the necessary accessories as well as the doors she wanted replaced. Yet almost towards the completion of the job, is when she started shopping around for those items, thus delaying our completion date. We even agreed to go back at a later date to install the doors for the customer, which she received at her house 2 weeks AFTER we have completed the rest of the job. Contract signed with customer states that the payment has to be paid right after glass doors were measured, but customer did not show up to pay until we notified her that the glass door was ready and she hasnt paid yet, further delaying the completion of the work. As of 10/28/2022 we had completed the work that we were contracted for. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/11/16) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) They are not honest people. Their response is filled with lies and the only reason they are replying today is because I gave them a deadline to fix the issues they have left us with before I pursue legal action against them. See photos of what they left us with - they speak for themselves . They received payment in full , performed a lousy job outside of timeframe we discussed - I never agreed to " remodel" bathroom from August till now middle November.. the doors they are referring to are not the issue , we can't control Lowe's delivery system - but the job that "Da'best" has performed is lousy. The grout is missing , the outlet placed crooked , the walls were never smoothed. I reached to them in several emails requesting to at least fix these elements- their response was " well you never submitted a form stating that you are satisfied with our work.. so we cant offer warranty ..". Last I checked this is illegal . They are not only unethical but using unlicensed people to save money and make more profit. Beware!

In August of last year, my mother had D'Best renovate both of her bathrooms. For $14,000.00 all she received was shower tiles, a tub and floor. No mirror, no vanity, no new toilets, nothing else. Shortly after the bathrooms were completed, they started falling apart. The caulking was falling off amongst other things (pictures 1-4 show this in the guest bathroom). My mother went to D'Best to show them the pictures and they sent the same unqualified workers out to her house again 2 weeks ago with no notice, no call at all to "fix" the problem. You can clearly see in pictures 5-8 the problem has certainly NOT been fixed. They only worked on the guest bathroom and said she would have to call to get them to come back to work on the master bathroom. Pictures of the master bathroom are 9-11. I submitted a review on Google and the owner responded insulting my mother and telling lies. He said the renovation was done 18 months ago, WRONG it was less than a year ago as the contract was signed on 07/15/21 and it took them a month to come out due to supplies being "out of stock." Picture 12 shows the date the contract was signed. He also said he saved my mother a ton of money from the other quotes she brought WRONG my mother did not seek out other quotes for this work. He then insulted my 75 year old mother by saying she is in a "very depressing stage." How dare he? I have attached his response to this complaint as well in case he realizes he made a mistake and decides to take it down. At this point for my mother's safety no one from D'Best is permitted to contact her in anyway and if they show up at her house the police will be called. Unfortunately it is clear that D'Best does not know how to repair this and we are requesting a refund.

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/08/25) */ Customer ************** made a contract with D'Best Floorz to renovate 2 bathrooms in July 15th 2021. The person that filed this complaint doesn't have authorization for any information on this contract since is not under her name. Both bathrooms were completed in September 1st 2021. We have a completion form for both bathrooms signed by the customer that states it was completed to her satisfaction. There was a repair that was resolved after the customer notified it to us, and this was done in October 2021. The customer came to our store a month or two ago, we told her that we would do an inspection first to see what the issues were. The installer then proceeded to fix these issues that same day of the inspection. At this point we already closed this case and the only one who can have information is the actual customer **************. She can contact us directly at 407-207-8181 Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/08/26) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) You have FAILED to provide a viable response AND solution to this. I recommend you read through the complaint thoroughly and carefully once again and address ALL issues brought up. What about the second bathroom my mother spoke to your installers about? They said someone was supposed to get back to her about this AND TO DATE NO ONE HAS COMMUNICATED WITH HER. What about the caulking gaps still left in the guest bathroom after the installers came back JULY OF 2022? Again, those pictures are from JULY OF 2022. Not October 2021. You would love to continue to exploit the Hispanics and elderly by doing a terrible job, stealing their money and knowing they cannot use the internet to hold you accountable for your actions which is the reason why you do not want me to speak on her behalf. I am in charge of her affairs whether you like it or not and you will answer to me.
