The date of the transaction is 7/9/21 and the amount of money paid was $149.14. The business assured me that I could cancel at any time. I signed up for a 1 month membership and they changed my paperwork to make it a yearly membership. The business has not tried to resolve the problem. They charged me the next month when I was in the hospital and had to move back home. They sent me an email confirming that the issue was resolved (please see attached), yet still sent the charge to a collections agency. I need this charge off of my credit report.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/09/08) */ Hi there and thank you for the chance to resolve this. Here is a copied emaile from our Billing Company: "Member Solutions is the billing company hired by The Jungle MMA and Fitness to administer billing agreement terms which allows customers to pay for services over time. This includes but is not limited to handling cancelation requests. ************** began billing for the account ********* through Member Solutions in June 2021 for membership at The Jungle MMA and Fitness. Approximately a month after her membership began, she reached out to Member Solutions to cancel her membership due to medical reasons. Per her agreement a medical disability and relocation of more than 25 miles from the facility would be conditions that a membership could be cancelled. In both these instances, Member Solutions does require documents to prove each. Ms. ****** first call to Member Solutions, was on 7/7/2021 to request cancellation, but did not provide a reason. Then on July 8th. 2021 Ms. ****** called to cancel with the reason being medical disability. The form was sent that needed to be filled out and sent back to verify the disability. During the month of July 2021, both The Jungle MMA and Fitness and Member Solutions provided information and guidance on how the member ship could be cancelled. The July payment was processed as it should have been on 07/9/2021. The next time we heard from Ms. ****** was on July 16th, 2021, requesting another form for disability and then also the form to fill out for relocation. Ms. ****** did not provide the proper documentation needed to cancel her membership due to disability and/or relocation. The paystubs did not show Ms. ****** address, rather the one showed the name of the bank where the bank is headquartered. Member Solutions received a Chargeback for the July 9th, 2022, on July 21st, 2021. The Jungle MMA and Fitness, as a courtesy, requested that the account be cancelled with only the one payment due. Member Solutions made several attempts to reach Ms. ****** to resolve the matter, however after the chargeback was initiated, Member Solutions did not receive any return calls or correspondences. Thus, the account was sent to collections by the Jungle MMA and Fitness on 08/19/2021. Member Solutions ceased all communications and servicing of Ms. ******'s membership on 08/19/2021 and turned over the servicing to First Credit Services to collect the one payment." We here at The Jungle made numerous attempts to reach out as well and NEVER heard anything back to help. This is the first time we have heard from her since. The worst part of this may be her accusing us of forging a document after she did indeed sign for a year package. We spend time with each new member explaining in depth our details.
