I am writing to file a complaint against Psych Pointe of Florida regarding a billing dispute. I had an appointment with this provider on April 23, 2023, while covered by ********************** (January 1, 2023, to April 30, 2023). Despite providing my insurance details, I was billed over $300.Details:Initial Issue: Psych Pointe claimed they submitted a claim to ***** but received denials, insisting I pay the bill before receiving further services.Cignas Response: ***** has confirmed they did not receive any claim from Psych Pointe for this date of service and has requested the provider to submit an itemized bill. Despite this, Psych Pointe has not resolved the issue.Providers Actions: The billing department at Psych Pointe has failed to provide a claim number, denial letters, or an Explanation of Benefits (EOB). They continue to insist on payment before providing further care.Current Status: I am concerned about the potential for this bill to be sent to collections, which could negatively impact my credit. Psych Pointes actions are causing undue stress and affecting my access to necessary care.Desired Resolution:Correct Claim Submission: I want Psych Pointe to properly submit the claim to Cigna so it is processed according to my coverage.Confirmation: Written confirmation from both Psych Pointe and Cigna that the claim has been processed and no balance is owed.Prevent Collections: Assurance that this bill will not be sent to collections or impact my credit.Service Provision: Ensure Psych Pointe does not deny services due to this unresolved issue.Investigate Billing Practices: Review the billing practices of Psych Pointe to ensure proper handling of insurance claims.Supporting Documents: I have attached a letter from Cigna confirming no claim was received and other relevant correspondence.Additional Information: This situation has caused significant inconvenience and stress. Additionally, I would like to address another claim made regarding an unpaid copay for an appointment in June 2024. I have reviewed my records and found that I have paid a copay for my only appointment in June on the 26th, as confirmed by my bank statements. I am happy to provide proof of payment if necessary.
Please ensure that this payment is correctly reflected in your records and that no further claims are made regarding an outstanding copay for June.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:In their communication, *** claims to have submitted my insurance information to Cigna five times. However, they have failed to provide any claim IDs or proof of proper claim submission. I contacted Cigna directly, and the representative confirmed that none of the numbers referenced in ATS's billing software screenshot correspond to legitimate claim IDs. This lack of verifiable claims submission is unacceptable.
Additionally, I have previously sent proof of my copayment for the service on June 26, 2024. I want to reiterate that this amount has been paid in full and is not my responsibility. Therefore, I expect this charge to be removed from my account.
Furthermore, there are only 12 days remaining before the deadline for submitting claims to ***** expires. I insist that Psych Pointe take immediate action to rectify this situation.
They must either:
Properly submit the claim to ***** and provide me with written proof of this submission, including a valid CLAIM ID, or
Acknowledge their failure to submit the claim appropriately and wipe any alleged debt associated with this service.
In the case of the latter, I require written confirmation that my debt has been cleared and that I will not receive any further communication regarding this matter.
If Psych Pointe fails to act within the next 12 days, I will pursue all necessary actions to protect my rights and resolve this issue.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to a timely and satisfactory resolution.
