BBB contacted Outpost Marine Group in June 2018 regarding the pattern of complaints. Outpost Marine Group stated to our BBB they believe the issues their consumers have had is due to a lack of communication and transparency between their company as an organization and their customers has caused this problem.
Outpost has terminated a number of employees that the company's stated were not representing Outpost Marine Group in the best light and not upholding our core values of trust, transparency, and clear communication. Additional stated they have instituted a thorough sales process that begins at the management level and bleeds down through the sales staff themselves that involve multiple check-offs and cross-check-offs to ensure that the final product our customer leaves with is in a condition that is both agreed upon and expected. We have also begun involving department managers in all aspects of the sales process to ensure customer issues are addressed and communicated in a timely fashion. Finally, Business stated they have introduced two staff members whose roles are to ensure complete customer satisfaction via after-sale surveys that are used to identify lingering and unresolved issues that can be taken care of at that time.
