Onix came to my home 7.12.22 to evaluate replacing 8 decorative wood beams on my home. He sent an est on 7.15.22 to include replacing 8 wood beams, install 8 decorative wood pieces and paint 8 pieces. $1500. Cost of paint was not included. Onix required at $500 deposit to secure job/agree to services. This was paid to ********************************* via Suncoast FCU on 8.2.22. I did not hear back from him until 8.11.22 to schedule job for ***************** he showed up to my house with decorative pieces he bought on amazon. He planned to not remove entire wood beam as he proposed, he only wanted to cut out rotten wood and then place the decorative wood to existing wood. I made it clear this is not what I wanted; the entire beam needed to be replaced. He proceeded to locate cedar wood beams locally, called 81 lumbar- none in stock. I called another local wood vendor, he went and purchased beams that day=354.75. My current beams have a decorative design on the end. He could only cut the beams, no design. He patched the hole where he took one beam down.Left for the day to cut and paint the beams purchased to return another day to install. I text him the same day inquiring about the balance. O stated that the price would change due to having to remove the entire beam and securing it with additional supplies. 8.17.22 6:47p sent new quote to include remove wood pieces, cut new beams, prime all new wood, paint beams, and add support to attach beams. $1900. O texted 8.19.22 to confirm if we were good to go for Monday to finish job, stated he would finish painting beams. I replied that we were finalizing plans and would let him know Sunday. Monday, 8.22.22 I sent a text stating my daughter was ill and I would get back to him. Sent new signed agreement 9.8.22. No response until ****, stating he returned the beams, and we would need to pay a 25% restock fee and a new est is needed. I asked he return the paint we bought $50+$250 of our deposit OR refund $300. Onix kept our paint & deposit.Customer response

Yes, Ive heard from the owner on ***** via text message **************. Stating he is not refunding deposit nor returning supplies.
