On February 2, 2024 I order a third brake light for a 2024 3500 Dodge Ram. I received the item and had it installed by a professional auto mechanic. The auto mechanic informed me that the light was not working properly. The mechanic showed me on the packing slip. They sent a third brake light for a 2009 to 2018 Dodge Ram. He also showed me that the wiring harness plug on the third brake light was not compatible the plug on the truck. I informed AutoLedTech of what is going on and was sent the wrong light. I was then told it was the right part and it had been installed wrong. Then was told that the truck had to be turned on and in drive. I responded, the third brake light was tested in every way that it will normally be used in. Then I was told the third brake light would fit that year truck and it does work. I am not disputing the light not physically working. I am disputing, the light is the wrong model and year for the truck I told them I have. I have include the packing slip showing the year of truck that brake light fits. Also a picture of the wiring harness that is missing a one blade, showing that third brake does not fit the year of truck that I order it for. I am just asking to send the item back and get a refund.Business response

As I have already informed the customer, the 09-18 Ram and the 2019+ Ram HD 3rd brake lights are identical and share the same part number from the manufacturer. I have included a screenshot showing that they are the same (09-18 Ram/19+ Ram HD). I also informed them that I would contact the manufacturer to see if there is a reason why the brake light function would not work. The missing blade does not mean this is not the correct part either. There is only one blade so this part remains compatible with both the 09-18 Ram and the 19+ Ram HD. The manufacturer is not going to make a completely different model light with a connector that has both blades when a connector with one blade will work for both. Again, you received the correct part. It is not incorrect. The 09-18 Ram and 19+ Ram HD 3rd brake lights are identical and interchangeable. It does not matter that the box says 09-18; they are identical as shown by the screenshot. I've explained this numerous times via email already.Customer response

Michael ******The document that they down loaded was not attached. Once again all the I am asking is to return the item, bc it did not work. Please send me some type of return information and slow me my refund. Any decent business personnel would rather have a good business ethics if the customer has a problem or try to resolve it. Not tell the customer they are wrong, being the customer has had other professionals persons in this line of work. To tell the customer that the customer is right. The customer got the wrong part.

I purchased a product (RGB LED front grill emblem) from this company and within about 5-6 months it started to fail (fading and LED boards going bad) I contacted them and they sent me a new one. The new one worked for a few months the emblem went bad again. I went to change the color and it kept resetting to the previous color and once I kept trying it just completely lost connection with the bluetooth module within the emblem and I was stuck with a non working emblem. Reached out to the company regarding the issue and explained this was the 2nd product that failed and I asked could I just get a refund and they said mail back the item. I did. They received the product and I emailed them the tracking info the same day I mailed it back to them. I haven't heard anything back from them since then. So now I am out of my product and my money. I used a company called affirm to purchase the product and I had to reach out to them and file a claim against the merchant to resolve this matter. I want the public to be aware about this company and their shady ways of scamming people out of their money and getting their product back.Business response

The item was returned and delivered to us on the 4th of July. We were not in the office or answering emails Friday-Tuesday. Customer sent us 3 emails, one saying they shipped it and that it should arrive Wednesday, one saying it would be delivered a day early and to let them know when the refund was issued (This email was sent on the 4th of July, we had 50+ emails from late Friday to Tuesday to go through), then an email on Friday saying they filed a chargeback and filed a BBB complaint. They gave us 2 business days to respond to this. We issued the full refund on Friday. We are not "scamming" people. You ordered an item November of last year. You had an issue with it and we sent you a new one. You had an issue with that one and requested a full refund, which we usually would not do for an order thats 8 months old, but we agreed to it. The return was marked delivered to our shop on a holiday and you gave us 2 days then resorted to filing a chargeback and a BBB complaint. Some patience from the customer and some understanding that they are not the only customer, email, or task we have at hand after a 4 day holiday weekend would have been greatly appreciated. We apologize that 2 business days was far too long for you to wait to receive a full refund for an 8 month old used product that you returned on a holiday.Customer response

On 2/25/23 I placed an order for 1x 2015-2023 Dodge Challenger RGBW Color-Chasing LED Halo DRL Prebuilt Headlights (Flow Series) - Demon Eyes / Add LED Bulbs / No for $1,399.99 each 1x Flow Series LED Color-Chasing Bluetooth Controller (V2) - No / No for $49.99 each 1x Flow Series Sequential Turn Signal + Auto White DRL Harness - No / No - I already have one for $49.99 each 1x Dodge Mopar SRT LED Badge Emblem Logos (RGB/White) - SRT Hellcat / RGB Multicolor / Bluetooth App Controller (RGB Only) for $329.99 each Coming to a total of 1829.96 that was charged to my card, I reached out asking if they could send the Dodge Mopar SRT LED Badge Emblem first while I wait for the head lights. On 3/22/23 I received a email saying my head lights were shipped but on 3/24/23 I noticed they still weren’t actually shipped so I reached out and was informed that they didn’t have the correct bulb in stock so I had to wait for new ones to arrive. On 4/3/23 I reached out asking for an updated because it was still showing no movement to no reply. On 4/23/23 I reached out informing I started a claim the UPS about my lost package and on 4/25/23 I was told they would call to reopen the case with UPS. 4/27/23 reached out again asking for updated. No reply. 5/4/23 reached out again. Replied saying they would go by UPS and check for the package. 5/5/23 I was informed they would try again to reopen the claim with UPS. 5/6/23 I requested a refund seeing as how I still had not received my package. No reply. 5/19/23 reached out again asking for refund. 5/29/23 reached out requesting refund or I would be reporting to the BBB. Still no reply. Will be filing law suit in months time if still no response.Business response

The package was dropped off and accepted by UPS and scanned into their system, then showed movement to one distribution center before it stopped updating/showing movement. We opened a case, it was closed by UPS, then we opened it again and it was denied. Customer did not add shipping insurance to their order. We are not responsible for lost/damaged/stolen packages after they are out of our possession and accepted by the mail carrier unless shipping insurance is added. Shipping insurance can be added to all orders at checkout which insures the complete value of the package in the case that it is lost, arrives damaged, or is stolen.Initial Complaint

I ordered a pair of headlights for my vehicle on 5/22/2021 costing $1,129.98. The headlights were not delivered until 1/3/2022. During this period I requested to cancel the order and get a refund but the company refused stating they don't do refunds because their product is custom made. After receiving the headlights they did not work and caused my car's fuses to blow while my original headlights had no issues. I tried reaching out to the company to resolve this. I offered to return the product for a refund but they refused. I tried all the ways the company suggested to get the headlights to function and none worked. I troubleshooted the headlights numerous times and they continued to blow a fuse, once again suggesting the product is defective. I have informed the company of these issues and they remain unwilling to provide a refund and have not responded to my most recent emails. Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/05/26) */ Good afternoon, In regards to requesting a refund/return for the custom headlights, our FAQ clearly states in the very first paragraph that custom built products (which includes custom built headlights) are not able to be canceled or returned: "RETURNS / EXCHANGES / CANCELLATIONS Do We Accept Returns? Yes! We do accept returns within the first 30 days. For products outside of 30 days, your item are ineligible for a refund or exchange. We DO NOT accept returns on custom parts (lens etching, custom or prebuilt headlights, etc.) or any items in our Closeouts section. Our standard products restocking fee is outlined below:" "Can I Cancel My Order? The period to cancel your order is at most 48 hours from the time of submission. After that time your order has begun processing and we are unable to cancel. Any Special Orders including custom headlight light builds cannot be cancelled once processed, as they are started based your commitment to the purchase. All orders that are marked shipped are also unable to cancel and will require contacting us for an RMA to return." The FAQ can be viewed here: https://www.autoledtech.com/pages/faq We order headlights in bulk from the manufacturer and there were supply chain issues/delays due to covid during the time frame the customer ordered that many other businesses experienced. The customer was made aware that there were going to be delays. As for the high/low beam fuses blowing, the customer had the exact same headlights that we sell installed on their vehicle previously (Not purchased from us) and they worked fine. We use the EXACT same headlights from the EXACT same manufacturer and do not change the main wiring for the headlight low/high beam functions at all besides providing a plug-in conversion harness that is meant to allow the 6-pin headlights to plug directly into the factory 8-pin connector if their vehicle has the 8-pin connector and not the 6-pin connector. The connector type on the vehicle depends on the year of their vehicle and if they came with the low end headlights or the high end headlights. The vehicle would either have a 6-pin connector OR an 8-pin connector, NOT both. Based on the photos of the wiring harness that the customer sent us, the customer has an 8-pin connector AND a 6-pin connector which seem to be spliced together, which is 100% not factory at all. After looking at social media posts of the customers vehicle, we saw that 1) They previously had the exact same headlights we sell installed on the vehicle and 2) The customer was in a front-end collision and the entire front end and headlights were replaced by a body shop. The vehicle then had different headlights installed and it appears that their factory wiring harness was completely changed. We have screenshots of the vehicle showing it had the same headlights before the collision and different headlights after. We also have photos sent by the customer showing they have 6-pin connectors on the vehicle that are not connected to their current headlights, and also an 8-pin connector that is plugged into the current headlights. This is not factory at all and leads us to believe that the vehicle may have some funky wiring going on after the body shop repaired the car. The wiring and connectors for the vehicle are no longer original like it came from the factory. After these issues were brought to our attention, we have requested that the customer try to plug the new headlights directly into the 6-pin connectors on the vehicle and see if the high/low beam fuses still blow. We have asked the customer to let us know what the outcome is but they have not been able to get to it yet. We are currently in contact with the customer and they are waiting for some free time to take the requested troubleshooting steps. We believe that the 6-pin connectors were the original connectors the vehicle came with (since the headlights they previously had on the vehicle only work with 6-pin connectors unless you add the adapter harness, which customer claims they did not have) and that using the conversion adapter on the 8-pin connectors that the body shop added could be causing the issue with the fuses blowing. If the customer can cooperate with us (which they currently are) and follow the steps that we detailed in an email, we have no doubt that we can get the to headlights work perfectly fine with their vehicle, even with the altered wiring. I have followed the companies instructions and plugged the headlights into the 6 pin connector and the headlights are continuously blowing fuses and not turning on. My current factory headlights are working with no issues. I have had to show the blown fuses numerous times to the company and it is costing me time and money to keep replacing fuses that their headlights blow. I am not satisfied with their response because at this time my headlights are still not functioning and they are refusing a refund.
