I tried a service and was asked if I wanted to have it as a reoccurring payment automatically or if I want to pay for just the one month. I said just the one month and the employe said okay sign here. After that month Ive been charged for 3+ months and they will not give me a refund because of what I signed. Come to find out the employee made me sign the reoccurring contract. Once I found this out and they said they wouldnt give me a refund They said they will try to reach out to corporate but in the meantime they will cancel the subscription for the service. Keep in mind this is a service thats in the gym ,its not actually connected to the contract for the actual gym membership itself. So after I was told it was canceled that day in person I get charged for the next month about a week or two later and still have yet to get an email about corporate attempting to give me any sort of refund, which the employee behind the counter had already said that they probably wouldnt but he was going to try. No attempt was actually made from my understanding since he said the first email he was going to send out to corporate would have me attached to it so I can follow the paper trail. I ended up calling **************** and disputing all the charges except for the first month that I had wanted, now Ufc Fit is charging me for a second time this month because the first payment didnt go through because of the dispute, even though I shouldve had this subscription canceled before this month even started. but they just keep trying to get money. I used the service the first month that I paid for consensually, but I have not used it since because I was under the impression that I was only charged for that one month like agreed and I still have not used it even though Ive been charged this whole time and continuing to be charged. Thats how much I dont want this service. I feel like theyre scamming people out of their money through sneaky agreements.Initial Complaint

I signed up with UFC Fit Gym at the Pembroke Pines location on March 4, 2022. I have been attending this gym for the entire year until recently. My last visit to UFC Fit gym Pembroke Pines was Tuesday March 28, 2023. On Wednesday night March 29, 2023, I attempted to sign in to workout and a desk attendant told me that I do not have a membership and that my membership has been expired since Feb 18, 2022. I asked how could my membership be expired in February 2022 if I did not register until March 2022. The Assistant Manager **** said to me we dont offer membership for Active Fit Direct. I can sign you up right now for a membership if you can afford it, if not again, your membership is expired. I asked why do I need to sign up for a membership if my membership shows active. The manager said to me. Our memberships cost, we arent a $25 gym. If you want to sign up we will be here if not you will have to leave as you dont have access to our facility. I was very shocked and appalled. I called every gym in South ******* to which are all corporate gyms. Not only were they able to pull up my membership, each representative at each gym I contacted confirmed that they do in fact accept Active Fit Direct for membership registration. Also, Via the Active Fit Direct web page UFC Fit Pembroke Pines is currently listed under Standard gyms and shows as my gym location, My UFC Fit app also shows my membership agreement as active. Currently, I am being refused access to a gym that I have frequented for 3-4 times per week for a year. UFC Fit Pembroke Pines ***** Pines Blvd, Pembroke Pines, *********. Lastly on Thursday March 30, I spoke with ***** another manager who sided with his peer **** and said they are a close group and if I continue to come in with the same issue after they explained my options that they have the right ask me to leave and ban me from getting any memberships at their location.Initial Complaint

Hello,I signed up for a *** gym membership for me and my son in March of 2022 & let the team member know it will only be through May of 2022. He said it was no problem. Each month *** has been debiting my account (bank statements uploaded) but I get a random email that I owe *** almost $700 and it has been sent to a collection agency on 09/13/2022 (email uploaded). *** called the *** multiple times yesterday and today and have not reached anyone until this evening and when I did a gentleman answered and hung up when I asked to speak to a manager regarding a ********** received. When I called back, I got forwarded to a voicemail. This is highly unprofessional. I have not been to this gym in months.Initial Complaint

Last year I signed up with UFC Fit in PP, around five or six month before they were open, when the doors finally open I asked on of the front desk staff if my membership included the Recovery Room, the answer was not. On 09-30-2021 I received a welcome email from ************************* (the manager) and I emailed him back asking what my membership cover, because I asked the F.D and told him their answer, ***** never answered my email. I April of 2022 is when i first notice i was getting charge an additional $79 a month since November for the use of the recovery room, I immediately went to the gym and they stop the charges and assuaged me I was going to get those funds credited to card. In July of 2022 i signed up again for the ** and i've been using it ever since; I told the manager that after many, many emails and the answer was the same is pending in corporate. I told him credit my account for the six month to resolve the problem. we are now in September and NOTHING has been done to correct this issue, I really feel they are just lying to me and waiting to reach 12 month so nothing can be done.Initial Complaint

**** characters isn't enough to truly describe the frustration and level of unprofessionalism I have encountered with this gym. I was charged $1,120 in March 2022 when I signed up for a $16 membership. I was misled by a manager by the name of ****, who was fired a month after I met him due to his behind closed-door deals. When I explained the misinformation I was given to the director of sales I was given an apology and reassured I would be refund. He failed to tell me it would take over 45 days to be processed. I called my bank to expedite the process and when they called the gym, they denied I the charges were incorrect. I have an email thread with ****** since April, I still have not received my refund. My debit card I've had for 9 years has been closed for being negative so long and its now been over 45 days and I still haven't received the check. I was incredibly understanding and polite... and was met with short answers and a lack of sympathy and was lied to. Now its been over 4 months of waiting for that $1,120 and will have to take it to small claims court and wait another 3-4 months. But they were real quick about emailing me about not paying them $16 a month. ****** was nice at first but then started answering very robotic like and when the ** ******* emailed me about missing the payment she stopped responding when I said I no longer had a debit card due to being negative so long. When I asked for proof of my refund being submitted, I was given the run around until I became assertive. I was super understanding and patient....but we are now at 168 days and I still have not gotten my refund.Initial Complaint

I'm reaching out to see if there was an update with the rest of my refund. I've spoken to several employees regarding this over the past few months. I moved away from the South ******* area back in September and wasn't going to be able to use my membership so I informed my sales guy, ***** that I needed to cancel my account. I thought that was the end of it and I would not be charged but I was charged on the following dates: July 13 - $105.93 Sept 30 - $159.43 Oct 30 - $159.43 Nov 30 - $211.86 I wasn't monitoring the credit card that was being charged because I barely use it but when I did notice I called UFC Fit immediately and asked to figure out what was going on. They informed me that it was canceled but wasn't forwarded to the operations manager to stop the billing. The associate that I spoke to informed me that I would be getting my refund ***** days from that cancellation date (Dec 2, 2021) and sent me proof of the membership cancellation request form. I went through my accounts again last week (Jan 19, 2022) and still did not have my refund. I called and asked to speak to the operations manager again and see the status of my refund but she informed me that she doesn't know what happened and requested an expedited refund to be returned to me within **** days. I don't know what else to do as I have been waiting for so long and am starting to get a little annoyed at the fact that there is no clear communication or follow up process with this refund. It is over $636.65 of charges that has yet to be returned. I have no issue with UFC Fit or the employees there but I really need some additional help to see what we can do to resolve this issue. Attached you'll find the cancellation document that I signed over the phone with the first associate that tried helping me back in December. Since then, I received 2 refunds for a total amount of $53.50 (May 6, 2022) and $211.86 (March 10, 2022). I shouldn't have to keep calling back to get this situation resolved.Initial Complaint

Cancelled gym membership in January. I have attached both cancellation forms. They state the final billing date will be January 28. I was charged on March 1 and April 13. I have contacted the gym more than 5 occassions. They concede they account was closed and said they are waiting to refund. I finally disputed the charge with my CC provider and UFC Gym contested the charges. I am seeking refunds for 3 charges placed; 1 on March 1 and 2 on April 13.Initial Complaint

I signed up for UFC FIT Pembroke Pines membership and u also signed up for personal training. Since then i had to be fighting trying to keep these trainers in focus that to be focusing on how much money they can get out of me. This has been a nightmare and if i could do it over i wouldn't have done it. I signed up for a promotion at $2088.00 for 36 training. I signed up with a personal trainer name RHE but when the gym opened, he told me had too many clients working with and i had to work with another trainer . I started working with another trainer but after 15 sessions i wasn't satisfied with his training and i went back to RHE to see if he could train me. RHE said yes, now he had some free slots i can train with him but for me to train with him i have to pay for three more months of training at $560.00 per month for 8 training per month. So i have a total of 45 training that was suppose to end on February 2022. After my contract ended i still have a lot of training left. The company was suppose to charge me for three months however, they charged me an extra month of $560.00 which i spoke to the manager and he gave me a credit. However, I've yet to see that credit. After all this RHE told me that he is busy again and he is going to have to move around my training time from 8am to 9am or even 10am. I told him that i can't change my time because i had to work and i wasn't that flexible. He still pushed me away and gave away my time slot to a new client which i think was really unfair. I even told him that since the morning can't work then i can train in the evening. He tried to push me off to another trainer but based on my experience so far i don't want another trainer. At this point i just want the refund of the money the company over charged me and my remaining training sessions refunded back to me or credited to my account. I like the gym but the trainers only care about money.
