On July 1st Mark went into our attic, looked at our duct work and said that the problem was that the ducts were not sealed at the joints. He said that we needed to have the joints sealed and that this would prevent the air leaks that were causing condensation and water intrusion into our house. Dustin came on the 2nd and climbed into the attic. He emerged about 20 minutes later and said that our duct work was so badly deteriorated that sealing the joints would not be enough to fix the system, that there were “air leaks everywhere”, that our ducting was “hot dogged” in many places and that our ducts actually needed to be completely replaced. He did not tell us this until after he had already applied the sealant. he should not have performed the work without first letting us know the complete diagnosis. We would not have agreed to an expensive sealing of the joints if we had known that it would not actually solve the issue. Also when we when up into the attic he has only put sealant on the top. So all the rest is the way around was still not sealed. When we called and let them know that we shouldn't have to pay since we were not informed that it would not actually fix the probably like we were told they said they would just put a lien on the property. The said we signed a contract. We did not see or sign any contract so we requested a copy when they did send us a copy it was not our signature and looked like a check mark or sideways L. Not only were we told after the fact that What they did probably wouldn't last more than the summer. Of course not didn't even seal all the way around. They forged our signatures. The stuff they did put on is running off still 5 days later. Told sealant would fix problem Then told after it wouldn't and we needed to replace everything Didn't seal all the way around and left cracks which is why they said it wouldn't probably work Someone besides us signed contracts. Threaten to put lien on property if we didn't pay for services
