At the beginning of the year I saw ads for a music festival in Pensacola Florida called Thunderbeats. It was supposed to be a techno/EDM music festival, the lineup looked good, so I purchased tickets to the event in January. 1/27/2022 Network Purchase TB* THUNDERBEATS THUND **** North Davis Hwy XXXXXXXXXX FL US ($843.90) The event was supposed to happen in April 2022. A couple week beforehand Thunderbeats announced it was cancelled for the following reason: "DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL, WE HAVE MADE THE DIFFICULT DECISION TO CANCEL THUNDER BEATS MUSIC FESTIVAL FOR 2022. A LOT OF HARD WORK AND EFFORT WAS PUT INTO THE EVENT'S PLANNING, BUT ULTIMATELY IF WE CAN NOT PRODUCE THUNDER BEATS TO THE HIGH STANDARDS WE HAVE SET FOR OURSELVES, WE WILL NOT DO IT. WE HOPE TO REGROUP AND REVISIT THE CONCEPT WHEN WE HAVE AMPLE TIME AND RESOURCES TO PRODUCE AN EVENT THAT OUR FANS DESERVE." They also announced refunds would be sent out in the next two weeks. I attempted to email them asking for more information on the cancellation and how the refunds would happen, and got no response. I waited a month and no refund and tried emailing them again, still no response. I started researching to see if anyone else has gotten refunds and saw posts like this reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Pensacola/comments/u01ys4/please_post_here_if_andor_when_you_have_received/ Which states that they researched the company and found the investment firm behind the festival the person running it has been caught for insurance fraud before. I also have found that the website for the music festival is no longer active. I attempted to dispute the charge to get a refund for the tickets with my bank, but since it was past 90 days they said they couldn't do anything. I have learned to research concerts more, but mainly just want my money back for the tickets. I've attached a screenshot of my ticket for the event.
